The ego is never satisfied, no need to try and do so. While we’re giving this ego human characteristics, one could say that never being satisfied is its job. But there is no ego, there is no person to have, listen to, or satisfy an ego, there are only apparent thoughts arising. Let them be. Don’t try to stop or control the ego (thoughts). You can’t, anyway. Any attempt to do so is simply more thoughts, “I gotta stop this ‘thinking so much’, thing!” Allow them to be.
