Welcome to this class that's going to teach you more about the creator archetype.

The creator.

Artist,

Inventor,

Innovator.

Life isn't about finding yourself.

Life is about creating yourself.

George Bernard Shaw.

With the dominant creator archetype your imagination is naturally active.

You're always dreaming up new things and at times the flow of ideas that fill your mind flow abundantly and effortlessly.

You can generate new ideas and are able to express those ideas into something tangible through inventions,

Designs,

Art forms,

Music or writing.

The part of you that's the creator believes that if you can imagine it you can create it.

Creators personify imagination and inspiration,

Constantly dreaming up new possibilities and creating space for ideas to freely flow with ease like a conduit to hire creative source.

Creators have the magic touch of both conjuring up new concepts and then transforming those ideas into physical form.

The creator in you tends to see mundane things as rich sources of possibilities.

If a project stirs the imagination a creator lets their ideas flow.

They connect random or seemingly unconnected items or ideas to create something new and unique.

Their outfit choices,

Home decor,

Workspaces,

Organizations and aesthetics in general portray their inherent creativity and individuality.

The underlying story of the creator ends with a manifestation of a tangible form that's worn from learning to channel their visions.

Creators intentionally design their own lives through their roles as artists,

Inventors or entrepreneurs.

Creators become frustrated when their skill level prevents them from being able to express their vision in physical form,

As well as a lack of appreciation and understanding by others.

If they can't find an outlet for their talents they suffer a fate worse than death,

Boredom.

Activities and tasks fulfilling to a creator allow them to express their creative vision.

They're motivated by making a functional item beautiful and by contributing their creative gifts to the world.

Creators don't only express their creativity via obvious art forms but also by bringing beauty and novelty to ordinary activities in everyday life.

The part of you that's a creator finds happiness when your vision is accurately reflected in your creation.

A creator is validated personally when others appreciate their creations because a part of themselves is captured in their work.

Creators create for the enjoyment of the process as well as the final result because their imagination is sparked and engaged.

As a leader creators can be entrepreneurial,

Successfully creating elegant products,

Processes,

Services or environments.

Routine bores the creator who would rather delegate mundane tasks or find outlandish ways of executing them.

Once they've completed a project they're quick to move on to the next one rather than hanging around to ensure that it runs effectively.

Others often appreciate and are jealous of the vision and good taste that comes so naturally to a creator without realizing how much dedication has gone into the honing of that creative talent.

To a creator the value of creativity is worth more than a simple price tag.

Creators might want to guard against overlooking and undervaluing the joy of experiencing life in favor of reducing life to a scrap heap of materials from which their next piece will emerge.

When a creator takes on too many projects at once their overwhelm dissolves any joy that might have been present to start with.

The inner critic of a creator is highly developed and highlights all flaws so it's important that the creator learn to protect themselves before the feelings of inadequacy and dissatisfaction with life creep in.

Creators become easily irritated,

Distracted or despondent if their gateway to inspiration is in any way obstructed.

The underlying story of the creator is that of perfectionism and a fear that they're well of inspiration will dry up.

This might cause them to obsess and rework a piece rather than knowing when to stop.

On a bigger scale their fear of having their work underappreciated,

Ridiculed,

Misunderstood or devalued could prevent them from ever sharing their masterpieces,

Causing their creations to never meet the potential greatness they're worthy of.

Creators can benefit from acting on imaginative ideas,

Not just fantasizing about them,

Taming their inner critic,

Remembering that anything worthwhile takes time,

Balancing artistry with being a responsible,

Thoughtful person,

Balancing fidelity to their vision with marketplace realities and the need to make a living,

And balancing the virtues of the creator with those of the outlaw.

So let's take a look at the creator and the outlaw balance.

Duality is a central theme in life and creators represent the birth while outlaws represent the death.

Because of this creators struggle to let go in many aspects of life,

Their work,

Relationships and circumstances.

Outlaws however thrive on clearing out and ridding themselves of burdens and heaviness.

With the help of the outlaw a creator can learn that they can create in the way they're accustomed to by bringing their vision into tangible form and they can also create something new by removing what's no longer necessary.

My hope is that after watching this class you've got more clarity about the creator archetype.

Your assignment for this class is to show three ways in which you're going to start intentionally expressing your dominant archetype.

That could mean changing the way you dress or the jewelry you wear,

Or perhaps you're going to take up in your hobby that you've always wanted to do but you felt others wouldn't approve.

If it aligns with your archetype start that hobby.

Or perhaps you're ready to make the commitment or to change your lifestyle to bring it more into alignment with who you inherently are.

I'd love to see a photo in the assignment section of whatever you choose as a representation of your expression of your archetype.

I'm excited to see how this awareness transforms your life.
