If you'd like to know what your heart wants,
Then you need to know how it feels when it says yes.
This is a short exercise to activate your heart as a resonator.
So to begin,
Just make sure that you're in a comfortable spot,
Preferably with your feet on the ground,
So that you have your feet connected to the ground beneath you and you feel that support from Mother Earth.
And just lowering your gaze or closing your eyes,
Taking a few releasing breaths,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
And with each exhalation,
Just allowing yourself the space to explore,
Allowing yourself the space to connect to your heart.
So to begin,
I'd like you to say this out loud after me and see what you notice.
Heart,
Show me where you are.
One more time.
Heart,
Show me where you are.
I'd like you to say that as many times as you need and notice what responds.
Whether it's a feeling in the center of your breastplate or it could be anywhere in your body,
It doesn't have to be there at all.
Just asking.
Heart,
Show me where you are.
And now repeat after me.
Heart,
Show me yes.
What do you notice?
We'll try that again.
Heart,
Show me yes.
Did you notice any changes in your body and how your body was responding to that question?
And now we're going to try something slightly different.
Heart,
Show me no.
Heart,
Show me no.
Did you notice a difference in the way that your body responded?
So repeating one more time.
Heart,
Show me yes.
Heart,
Show me no.
This exercise should give you a good idea of how you can connect into your heart to show you how it's feeling about a question,
A dilemma.
You can always ask your heart to show you yes or show you no when you ask yourself a question.
Now making decisions from the heart,
Which sounds like a great thing to do,
It's not necessarily always the best timing to respond to a question or to face a dilemma from what your heart is resonating as a yes because there's a question of is this the right time to follow this pursuit?
Is there something that needs to be done first?
Am I ready?
Is it safe enough?
There are many questions and perhaps these questions are questions that you can continue to ask your heart as if in conversation.
Small steps.
May you and your heart go gently.
