This gentle sleep preparation practice is an invitation to soften the body, quiet the mind and ease yourself into rest. Through slow guidance and calming awareness, you are supported to release the day, settle the nervous system and transition naturally toward sleep. There is nothing to do and nowhere to go, only a gradual unwinding into a dreamlike state where rest can arrive with ease. This practice is especially supportive if you find it difficult to switch off at night, if your mind feels busy or if your body holds onto the day’s tension. Allow yourself to be guided gently toward stillness, safety and the threshold between waking and sleep. You can listen in bed as part of your evening routine or anytime you feel called to rest deeply.

Welcome,

Beautiful soul,

Find a comfortable place lying down,

Allow your body to arrive fully in the space now.

Let yourself melt into the surface beneath you and feel the earth holding you,

Knowing you are always safe,

Protected,

Guided and supported.

Close your eyes gently and let the world around you soften.

Consciously release the tension of your jaw,

Soften your shoulders,

Let your belly loosen and allow any part of your body holding onto tension to soften now.

Set a gentle intention for tonight,

Perhaps just rest,

Healing,

Or simply a wish to drift into a night of beautiful dreams,

Trust what rises and hold it softly.

Take a slow breath in and a soft gentle breath out.

Now imagine a faint shimmer appearing before you,

A soft silver glow,

Like the moonlight reflecting on still water.

This glow begins to open,

Widening into a quiet doorway,

A doorway not into another place but into the realm of dreams,

The inner landscape where your soul wanders while your body sleeps,

Where your mind becomes weightless and your heart becomes free.

Step gently towards this doorway and feel a soft breeze move around you carrying the scent of night,

Cool,

Sweet and full of possibility.

As you cross the threshold,

The world becomes soft and luminous,

A dream field unfolding in the slow waves of colour and light,

Here gravity loosens,

Time pauses and imagination becomes the ground beneath you.

You find yourself standing on a path made of stardust,

Soft under your feet,

Glowing with tiny lights that pulse like gentle heartbeats.

Each step sends a warm ripple through your body,

A reminder that you are entering a space where everything is allowed to expand and nothing is required of you.

Above you,

The sky is painted with drifting ribbons of silver and blue,

Moving like slow tides,

Guiding your awareness deeper and deeper into softness.

As you walk,

Dreams begin to gather around you,

Not as a story but as colours,

As sensations,

As whispers of possibility awaiting to be lived.

A soft violet light floats towards you,

Hovering in front of your heart,

And as it touches you,

Your chest feels warm,

Open,

Dreams you didn't know you still carried,

The ones buried beneath responsibility,

Beneath stress,

Beneath the noise of the day.

Let the violet light steep into you,

Softening your mind,

Loosening your thoughts,

Inviting your inner world to awaken.

Ahead of you,

A small pool of liquid moonlight appears,

Calm,

Glowing,

And impossibly still.

As you look into it,

You see fragments of dreams waiting to form,

Places you've never been,

Faces you've never met,

Stories not yet written,

All shimmering beneath the surface.

Kneel beside the pool,

Or simply rest near it,

And feel the gentle pull,

The invitation to fall into dreaming.

To surrender to the part of you that remembers magic,

That believes in beauty,

That creates whole worlds while you sleep.

A soft breeze brushes across your skin,

Carrying quiet whispers,

Like a lullaby sung by the night itself,

Reminding you that every dream begins with softness,

With surrender,

With letting the body drift downward.

The pool brightens and the surface begins to ripple,

As if reaching towards you,

Inviting you to release,

To float,

To drift,

Into the space where the impossible becomes possible and the unseen becomes felt.

Let your breath soften,

Let your limbs grow heavy,

Let your mind become quiet,

As if the dream is already forming around you,

Cradling you gently.

The dream realms wait for you now,

Warm,

Beautiful,

And alive with endless possibilities.

When you are ready,

Allow the scene to dissolve,

And let your awareness settle softly into the edges of sleep.

Take a beautiful deep breath into your belly,

Feel your belly expand,

And a soft,

Gentle exhale,

Feel your belly soften.

If your body wants stillness,

Stay just as you are.

If it wants to move,

Then you can slowly invite the smallest movements,

A little wiggle on your fingers and toes,

Or a gentle stretch.

Take a slow final inhale,

Hold,

With ease,

Letting your whole system drift towards sleep.

Carry this softness into your dreams tonight.

Remember you are loved unconditionally,

You are worthy,

You are beautiful,

And you are never alone.
