Meditation for a new beginning.
Come to a sitting position in a chair or on the ground.
Roll your shoulders and release into your seat.
Allow yourself to arrive fully.
Begin to listen to your breath.
Do not interfere or change the breath in any way.
Be the observer,
Watchful,
Curious.
Stay with your breath.
Notice its rhythm.
Feel the breath in your whole body,
In your toes,
In your hands,
In your skin.
Your eyes can soften or close.
Listening for the breath,
Following the breath,
Feel that there is a body of water nearby.
This water is refreshing,
Cleansing,
Soothing.
Feel that this water is near you.
Trust that you are close to it.
Listening for the breath,
Feeling the breath in your whole body.
Notice the ebbs and flows,
The inhales and exhales of your breath.
Feel that there is a new beginning for you and your body very nearby.
Feeling close to this new beginning,
Stay with your breath,
Allowing your body to release more into the ground or the chair you have chosen.
Feel yourself arriving into this new beginning.
Noting the inhales,
Your belly expands,
Then soft exhales.
Let this new beginning and your breath move and flow through you,
Cleansing away all that you no longer need.
Feeling the breath in your toes,
In your hands,
In your belly.
And when you feel ready,
Softly opening your eyes to the light,
Welcoming in this new time.
