Welcome to this walking with you walk together.
This walk focuses on our presence while we walk.
So as we begin,
Take a moment to take some deep breaths,
Feeling your feet on the earth,
Whether you're barefoot or you have shoes.
And as you breathe in,
Asking to stay present to whatever arises as you're moving,
Making this a moving meditation for presence.
As you begin to move at whatever pace suits you,
Noticing your breath as you walk and step,
Feeling your full foot on the earth.
You can feel it through your shoes or right on mother earth.
Notice that you can stay present with yourself,
With your steps,
With your movements,
And also with the sounds that surround you.
Allowing yourself time to receive both of those phenomenal realities,
The inner workings of you and the sounds of nature that surrounds you,
That is of you,
That you are of,
All of us made of the elements that surround us.
Allowing the sounds of children playing,
Of cars moving,
Wherever you are,
Just allowing it,
Noticing.
Let it become part of your presence.
It's part of the meditation and the movement.
Imagine moving with the car,
Moving with whatever it is that is in your sphere.
Keeping your breath devoted,
Devotion to yourself,
Devotion to your presence with all that is within you and around you.
As thoughts arise,
Allow them to come and go like the clouds,
Allowing them to move through you into the earth,
Composting them,
Receiving them,
Honoring them,
And letting them go.
Present to it all,
Welcoming it all as the earth takes what you no longer need.
Stay present to the elements,
The temperature,
The warmth,
The cold.
If there's water nearby or mountains,
If there's rocks on your path,
Melding with yourself and nature,
Becoming a living embodiment,
Sharing your love and your special footprint with each step you take.
A thank you prayer to envelop you in peace.
Allow the nourishment like a tree drinking through its roots.
Allow it to move through your feet all the way through each part of your body in your own time and bringing presence and awareness.
If there's spaces that need that extra nourishment,
That both can happen at the same time.
Thanking your body,
Your surroundings,
And allowing a slow return to the next part of your day.
