Welcome to this new moon meditation and time of reflection.

As you settle in,

Find a comfortable spot to sit or lie down.

Bring attention to your breath,

Allowing it to become more rhythmic with the attention you place on it so you can slow it down.

When we bring awareness to the breath and release it to a longer count,

It helps to slow down our system and quiet the mind.

During this time of the darker new moon,

This is a beautiful time to allow that softness,

The slowing,

To settle in.

As you reflect on this past cycle,

Notice what arises as you are quieter with yourself,

Feeling the connections,

The places of connection where your body is touching the surface.

Your breath is slower.

Notice what arises when you ask and reflect of this past month.

Allowing the places within you to reveal themselves so that the reviewing is like a movie or like a river of noticings,

Pausing to actually recognize what has transpired for this whole month that you participated,

Were present to or not,

But that you may remember.

Allowing yourself to feel any sensations within the body,

Noticing as you review or reflect how is your body feeling.

Are you noticing emotions that are coming up that are recognizable that may be comfort zones that may create what in the body for you?

Are you noticing that you're feeling calm or stirred or like you want to move or just noticing during the darkness of the moon as a time to reflect and review so that we can recalibrate and go in to the soil,

Like seeds to plant a new for what's to come.

So as we reflect and review,

We can circle it as if we were circling it into the soil for composting or tilling or shifting or thoughtful.

And just as we would be gentle with the seeds that there is this expectancy,

This preparation that we bring that gentleness to ourselves through the breath,

Releasing,

Letting it go.

So as we're tilling soil,

If clumps of dirt or things collect that won't create the space,

Won't give maximum possibility,

Break those up,

Allow to create the conditions that will bring forth more of what we want through the breath,

Through your reflection and release to allow the space,

Thanking what has happened this past month,

Bringing gratitude to the challenges,

To the winds,

To the in-between places,

Thanking all of it and how we're growing through it,

Thanking the process of growth that comes when we honor and take this time to reflect and pause.

Thank you.

Planting the seeds for what you wish within this next month,

Bringing forth and visualizing,

Imagining it and feeling that with your body.

You may be visual and see what you want.

You may see yourself doing or experiencing or being in certain situations or with people or goals,

But you may also feel within the body what that feels like,

What you want to feel,

Calm,

Balanced,

Open,

Willing,

Gentle,

Gentle,

Clear,

Positive,

Whatever it is for you,

Hopeful.

Allow yourself to feel what that feels like within your body and honoring the process of the melding of that planting and expectancy and the waiting and the anticipation and the excitement and the joy and the discovery that is to come with this next cycle of beginning.
