Hello and welcome to this meditation for cultivating stillness at work.
Get as comfortable as possible,
Hands at your heart connecting you back to yourself.
Soften your gaze so that the room around you fades into the periphery,
Closing down the eyes whenever you feel ready to do so.
Let's take this moment to recenter,
To return to clarity and to work through and undo any knots and tangles where thoughts have wound themselves.
Let your breath lead you into quiet stillness,
The mind becoming soft and pliable once more.
For these next few minutes,
Nobody needs you and everything is guiding you back into ease.
Notice your breath.
Is it shallow or deep?
Is it raspy,
Strained or is it unrestricted and free-flowing?
See if you can deepen the breath a little more,
Feeling the chest expand and as you exhale,
Follow each exhale all the way out.
Until it's all emptied and ready to welcome the next full inhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Continue breathing here in your own time.
Let your breath create space in this micro-moment,
Creating space in the mind,
Feeling your thoughts floating into the room around you.
Let them take up space outside of you,
Reminding yourself that you are not your thoughts.
Continue breathing for the next 30 seconds.
Returning now back into the room.
Just perhaps you want to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Flutter the eyes open and get ready to continue with the work day.
Thank you and I wish you a pleasant day.
