Hello and welcome to this meditation for transitioning from the workday into relaxation.
If there is anything that still requires your attention and needs to be completed before your next workday,
Whether it's sending a message or an approval or anything else that might end up taking up mental space,
I invite you now to offer ease to your future self and to take care of it for them so they won't need to rush to complete that work in the future.
Just showing yourself some love by lightening your load in this way that makes a tiny but significant difference.
I invite you to pause the meditation now for a moment to close that final tab and then you can return once you are ready.
You have showed up fully for today.
You have done the work and now is your moment to return to your body,
To relaxation,
To rest.
Reminding you that you are deserving of rest.
I invite you to release the workday that was.
Allow your mind to drift into presence,
Releasing all decisions and questions as you gently arrive into the rest of your day.
Plant your feet on the floor beneath you.
Your hands can rest gently in your lap,
Eyes coming to a close or just softening the gaze.
We will take three deep breaths now.
Inhale through the nose or the mouth,
Squeezing the shoulders and drawing them up to the ears,
Squeezing the eyes and as you exhale,
Let everything drop and feel your body relaxing,
Becoming heavy.
On your next inhale,
Feel an invisible string drawing you up from the crown of your head and lengthening your spine and as you exhale,
Sigh and let it feel your body getting heavier with each exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
Consciously relaxing your jaw and softening your eyelids and eyebrows,
Softening the belly,
Taking deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth or whatever is most comfortable for you.
Sending appreciation to yourself for showing up today.
May you be kind to yourself for any way you may have fallen short,
Knowing that tomorrow or whenever the next workday will be,
There will be room for you to grow,
To choose to show up differently,
To be more gracious to yourself and others.
But for now,
Let the work be enough.
Let it be enough for today.
Allow yourself to relax into the afternoon or the evening or the morning,
Depending on your work schedule.
Continue breathing deeply,
Creating expansion in the body,
Allowing space for the mind to be at ease with the sweet reminder that the rest of your day belongs to you and that you have agency to make it whatever you need it to be.
As you go forth,
I ask,
How will you choose to enjoy these moments of freedom?
What offering can you give back to yourself in gratitude?
How will you show up for yourself with presence?
And perhaps you begin with what your body has been asking for.
Taking a few more deep breaths now.
Let me take a deep breath in together.
Deep breath out together.
Deep breath in.
Exhale.
And exhale.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
I wish you a wonderful time of relaxation.
Take your time to sit in this moment as long as you need before moving on to the next part of your day.
I send you all the best wishes for the rest of your day and week.
From my heart to yours,
Thank you and gamma go.
