Sometimes when it feels like it's a little bit hard to find gratitude,
Or if it's a little bit difficult to feel thankful for things in our lives,
It might be helpful to get curious and get a little bit silly.
The energy of curiosity and playfulness can really help to elevate the sensation of apathy or disinterest.
As a quick exercise to uplift your energy,
Start simple and just think of things that you can be grateful for in this moment.
I'm going to rattle off some random things,
And if there are things that you can add to a silly list,
That may help to increase the sparkle in what you can feel today.
So I am grateful that I can breathe.
Even if I'm short of breath.
I'm grateful that I can feel something under my feet.
I'm grateful.
That I have skin.
I'd rather not be skinless.
I'm grateful.
I can open my eyes and I can close my eyes so I don't have to see the things that I don't want to see.
I'm grateful that we have this earth because I'd rather live here than on some planet that's super hot and toxic or super cold.
And it's pretty miraculous that out of all the planets,
We've got water,
We've got trees,
We've got grass,
We've got bugs,
Even if some of them are mosquitoes.
I'm grateful to be able to listen to tracks that can help me elevate where I am and help me unstick from the places where I feel like I'm stuck.
I'm grateful that there are animals in the world.
I'm grateful that some of them are really small,
And it's fun that some of them are really big.
I'm grateful that some of them don't mind being pets.
And I'm grateful that so many majestic creatures still get to run in the wild,
Even though their habitat is getting smaller and smaller every day.
I'm grateful for the internet because it gives us access to a lot of information.
And sometimes it's information overload and sometimes we go down rabbit holes,
But I am grateful because it helps people who are isolated to feel connected sometimes.
And so I am also grateful for the connection that I can feel with people like you.
And I'm grateful that on some level,
Energetic or otherwise,
That we are all connected to each other and to the Earth and the Universe.
So even when times get tough or feel tough,
I'm grateful that.
I also know.
It can probably get better.
So whatever silly stuff,
Easy stuff,
Not heavy stuff,
You can add to this list.
Try to think of something,
Maybe even one thing,
Maybe five things,
Maybe 80 things,
That help uplift you.
When you have a harder day,
Pull out your list and see if something there reminds you that,
Oh,
Yeah,
Wiener dogs are a thing and they're not so bad.
I hope that you can find some joy in today,
And let it carry you,
Because the joy that you do find.
.
.
Comes from within you.
And so you already have it in there.
Otherwise you couldn't have found it.
Now you just need to let it blossom.
And move outward.
Into your entire field and into the world.
See you at the next meditation and have a lovely day.
