Welcome to this short five-minute meditation to ground yourself into the here and now.
Grounding practices are extremely helpful in taking all of that pent-up energy and sending it back to the earth.
What I would like you to do is go ahead and find a comfortable seat.
If you can,
Feet placed firmly on the ground.
Go ahead and elongate the spine.
Inhale and exhale through the mouth,
Letting everything go.
Go ahead and take the palms and place them face down on the tops of the knees.
Inhale in through the nose.
Exhale.
With your feet,
I want you to go ahead and picture cords running down to the center of the earth.
On your next inhale,
I want you to breathe in and allow the energy from the core to come up into your body.
On your exhale,
I'd like you to release old and stagnant energy and return it down the cords to the core of the earth.
Inhale,
Pulling energy up.
Exhale,
We recycle that energy and send it back down into the earth.
Continue this process.
Inhale and exhale.
The earth has an amazing capability of taking old,
Dead,
Or seemingly unuseful things and regenerating them and returning them back to us beautiful and bloomed.
If you would think of a dying garden or a dying animal,
It dies and then is eaten by detrivores,
I believe they're called.
These organisms break down the material and give the nutrients left to the earth.
Go ahead,
Inhale in and exhale.
Continue to breathe here.
Inhale in,
Exhale.
On your next exhale,
I'd like you to take your palms and instead of placing them on your knees,
I'd like you to place them to your side body.
Inhale in and then on the exhale,
Go ahead and send all of that energy into the earth.
Really connecting here,
Feeling the ground beneath you,
Feeling it underneath your palms,
Feeling it underneath your sits bones,
Feeling it underneath your feet.
Go ahead and really get a sense of yourself in space.
Feel the places where you are supported.
Where does the earth meet you to support you in every step that you take?
Go ahead and say to yourself now,
Either out loud or in your mind,
I am here now.
I am safe here.
I am here now.
I am safe here.
Inhale in and exhale.
Thank you for joining.
