A meditation today on how to feel calm.
Take a nice deep breath right down to the base of your spine.
Breathing deeply in and out.
Gently shutting your eyes and continue to focus on your breath,
Allowing it to become deeper and slower.
As you continue with your breathing,
Just bring to mind a colour that will help you to feel calm.
Picture yourself stroking a favourite animal,
Gently and slowly,
Mindfully watching as your hand strokes from the top of the head and down the spine,
Watching as that animal relaxes into your touch.
See there breathing,
Relax,
Slow and becoming deeper.
Hear them let out a sigh of appreciation as they feel relaxed and calm by your touch.
Watching them now sleeping soundly under your touch,
Watch as you see their chest rising and falling.
You can almost observe a smile upon their face.
As you see that smile on their face,
You can observe the smile on your face.
You can feel the warmth of their body on your lap and feeling the love and bond that emanates between the two of you,
Which strengthens with each stroke.
Just keep observing the chest rising and falling,
Gentle and calm and relaxed.
So now you are both feeling calm and balanced and totally at peace and when you are ready you may open your eyes and take a nice deep breath.
