Good morning,
Good evening,
Good afternoon,
Wherever you may be,
Whatever you may be doing,
Hello.
This meditation is here to give you a moment to pause,
To ground yourself and to reconnect with your inner strength.
You can use it at work during a challenging time,
After a difficult encounter,
Or perhaps before a meeting or presentation that is filling you with anxiety.
Equally,
You can use it in your personal life,
Again,
When you had a difficult encounter or when you're preparing for something which is bringing up anxiety within you.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable location.
You may need to go to your car,
To the bathroom,
Or out for a walk or to a park.
Whatever it is,
Make sure it feels right,
Safe,
Or you can take a few moments for yourself.
Now,
Allow your eyes to slowly close and take a deep breath in,
Hold it for a moment and sigh it out.
Let's do it again and make sure you audibly sigh it out.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold it at the top and sigh it out.
Feel the weight of this moment.
Feel the support beneath you,
Be it the ground,
A bench,
Or a chair.
Just feel it solid and unwavering.
Allow now your breath to slow down.
Let everything slow down.
See yourself standing beneath a tall,
Old oak tree.
It stands alone,
Resolute,
In the middle of a field.
Its deep roots stretch far into the earth,
Steady and unshakable.
Now,
As you breathe,
With every exhale,
Allow any and all tension,
Any worry to flow downward,
Down towards the roots,
Drifting through the roots and dissolving into the earth.
And with every inhale,
Draw in the stillness of the tree.
Let its strength,
Let its presence settle within you.
Now see the leaves rustle gently in the breeze.
They do so in a soothing rhythm that echoes your breath.
Sunlight filters through the branches,
Casting a golden glow on your skin.
Breathe in,
Taking in the warmth,
The strength,
The strength that exists in the quiet.
And breathe out,
Releasing what no longer serves you.
With each breath,
You and the tree become one,
Steady,
Grounded,
Unwavering.
Let its energy remind you and say out loud,
I release what I cannot control.
I embrace calm within.
I release what I cannot control.
I embrace calm within.
Take this grounded strength into your day.
Know that,
Like the oak tree,
You are resilient.
You are supported.
You matter.
You are here.
And you are enough.
And when you're ready,
Take a final deep breath in.
Hold it.
And gently exhale.
Roll your shoulders,
Your neck.
And gently open your eyes.
Lighter and more at ease.
