Welcome to this new beginning,
This practice is there for you to lean into the opportunities that every morning brings.
You can take it lying down,
You can take it sitting,
You can take it overlooking one of your favorite scenes or even walking or driving.
Let's begin.
Allow to take a moment to arrive,
To feel the earth beneath you,
To hear the steady breath of the sea,
Calling you back to yourself.
Let's begin with a breath in through the nose and gently hold and exhale it out through the mouth.
Again inhale new air and hold and exhale what you no longer need.
Just as the waves move in and out let your breath echo and mirror and move with them.
Rising,
Falling,
In and out,
In and out.
Allow it to be simple,
Allow it to be enough.
Feel the cool air on your skin,
The grounded stillness of the sand beneath you,
The warmth of the rising sun on your face,
The steady rhythm of water returning again and again and again.
There is no rush here,
No role to play.
You are simply here,
Alive and being reborn in this very moment.
See the shoreline in front of you as it stretches,
Open,
Empty,
A blank slate.
Every single footprint from yesterday gently washed away by the tide.
There's no past to carry,
There's only this breath,
This moment,
This day.
Let the ocean clear your spirit,
Let it rinse the thoughts clinging to you,
Let it wash over your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your back,
Every part of you softened,
Every part of you welcomed.
Take another breath in and allow it to cleanse you from the inside out.
You're not behind,
You're not broken,
You're not late,
You are being made new right now.
Let's affirm the following,
Say them gently to yourself,
I am here,
I am ready,
I am washed clean.
Allow those few words to settle,
To sink and feel the simplicity of being,
Of just you,
The waves,
The gift that you're given with this morning.
Let the sound of the ocean be a reminder,
You can always begin again,
You already have.
Let's take one final deep breath in,
Widen your awareness,
Hold it at the top and exhale and let go.
When you're ready,
Return slowly to the day.
