You've arrived exactly where you need to be.
This is your time,
A gentle moment of stillness,
A soft space to return to yourself.
Let's begin.
I invite you to take a deep breath in and slow easy breath out,
Let the exhale carry away the weight of your day.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Feeling the breath rise into your chest and exhale,
Letting your shoulders soften.
Again,
Let the breath move like a wave in,
Feel your body begin to settle into stillness,
Into safety,
Into now.
Bring gentle awareness to your body,
Noticing where you're holding tension and giving it permission to soften.
Feel your forehead smooth,
Your jaw unclench,
Your shoulders melt downward,
Let your arms grow heavy,
Your hands rest quietly,
Your chest soften and open,
Allow your belly to relax,
Hips to sink,
Legs long and supported by the earth beneath you,
There is nothing to hold onto now,
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to be but here.
Now imagine a quiet sanctuary within you,
A sacred space made of calm and breath and light,
It might look like a still lake at sunrise,
A quiet forest,
A warm room filled with golden light,
Whatever you see,
Trust it,
This is your stillness.
Feel yourself settle into it,
Let its quiet fill you,
Let it remind you,
You are safe,
You are steady,
You are whole.
If thoughts arise,
Let them pass like clouds in the sky,
Each breath brings you deeper into peace,
Inhale stillness,
Exhale and release,
And exhale tension,
You can stay here for as long as you like,
Begin to slowly return to your body,
Gently wiggling your fingers,
Your toes,
Feel into the surface that is supporting you,
Remembering how the universe has always been here,
Supporting you in this way,
You have always been held,
You have always been loved.
Take one more deep breath in and let it go with a sigh,
Bring your hands to your heart or wherever feels good and thank yourself for pausing,
For listening,
For showing up for your own stillness,
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this calm with you,
And know that you can return here to yourself,
To your breath,
To your stillness anytime,
This is stillness within.
