Hi there.
Welcome to our Dreamland adventure to Colorado.
You don't need to pack anything or do anything at all.
Find a comfortable position and let's go for a ride.
Imagine looking up into the sky and connecting to the light all the way up there.
Breathe it in.
Let go of that breath completely.
Let's take another breath in.
Can you feel your lungs filling up?
On your next breath out,
Feel your lungs empty out the air.
On your next breath in,
Imagine flying high into the sky.
You aren't alone.
I'm with you and you can also imagine any of your friends and family with you on the ride.
It's up to you whether you invite anyone on your adventure.
We are heading to the Colorado Rocky Mountains where we will explore the sights and finish in a beautiful meadow covered in wildflowers.
For now,
Your breath will help us get there.
The slower,
Easier breath you take,
The better the ride.
As we fly into the air,
We see huge,
Fluffy white clouds and bright blue sky.
Take a look below and wave goodbye to your home as we leave your neighborhood and take ourselves across your town.
We soar into the sky and take steady,
Smooth breaths.
We begin to see snow-capped peaks that still have snow from the cold winter months.
Do you see the rocky landscape and sharp-edged mountains?
The tree line begins just down there.
The evergreen and pine trees start to sprinkle themselves throughout the rocky region.
Can you see that family of mountain goats hopping from rock to rock,
Light on their feet,
Daring to go from cliff edge to cliff edge?
These mobile mountain climbers are playing around and making a good time up that steep slope.
As we drop lower,
More trees are splattered around the mountainside.
There's an eagle's nest coming up on our right.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in and we'll lower ourselves so we can see the mama bird feeding her newly hatched babies.
She spreads her wings wide to protect her young.
The eagle is such a majestic creature and is the United States national bird.
As we let that breath slowly release out from our noses,
We continue on our adventure and leave the eagle and her babies at peace.
As we glide over the mountains and trees,
The breath continues to be slow and steady.
Can you start to hear the rushing sounds of the river below us?
As we slowly breathe in and out,
We begin to see kayaks and rafts moving down the river through the rapids.
The water flows over the rocks,
Creating splashes of water and bubbles of air.
We can hear the laughter and shrieks of excitement from the people below us.
Now let's have our breaths take us over the next valley,
Over this mountaintop coming up on our left.
As we fly,
Remember to breathe nice and easy,
In and out,
To take us exactly where we want to go.
There are hikers down below us climbing a peak and a couple of happy dogs running along the hiking trails.
Further down the mountain,
There is a pack of bikes taking sharp turns at high speeds as they race down the mountain.
Beyond the bikers,
There's a beautiful valley that is quiet and peaceful.
A family of deer munches on the plants.
Two birds sing to each other from neighboring trees.
A few chipmunks are chasing each other around a bend.
As we gaze upwards,
We see a sea of wildflowers.
Blues,
Pinks,
Oranges,
Reds,
And versions of white.
The meadow is peppered with colors exploding everywhere around the blades of wild grass.
There's a shady spot up above where we have the best viewpoint to observe the deer and watch how the gentle breeze blows the grass and flowers,
Creating a movement that is steady and gentle.
As we settle down exhausted from our flight and all the sights we took in,
We take a moment to let it all soak in.
We feel the sun rays poke through the branches above so we are warm but not hot.
The breeze gently rustles over our skin and the air is clean and fresh.
We can feel the oxygen entering and exiting our lungs with a special awareness we didn't have before.
Through our travels and flight,
We are able to change our breath.
Now we get to just observe the breath.
The rhythm of movement happening within our bodies as each breath comes in and goes out.
As we gaze upon this peaceful valley scene,
We start to get a little tired.
So much so,
It would feel really good to lie down and gaze up at the clouds and the leaves above us.
As we lay back,
We notice the leaves are also dancing along with the breeze and the clouds are moving at a super slow pace just like our breath.
As we lay here,
We start to feel the weight of our bodies welcome the support of the ground below us.
The breath is easy,
Uncontrolled.
We begin to feel our feet soften and our lower legs and then this relaxation spreads to our upper legs and hips.
Our back muscles start to soften and release.
The strong muscles begin to let go.
The shoulders are wide and the arms rest.
Our bellies rise and fall with each breath.
Our chest expands and settles back in.
The throat softens and then the lips,
Cheeks,
Forehead,
And all the muscles in your face begin to get heavy,
Nice and heavy.
Relax.
You notice the breath moving in and out at the very tip of your nose,
Knowing that you don't have to control the breath any longer.
The breath will happen on its own.
Your body is taking care to breathe for you.
Your body and mind get to fully appreciate this downtime,
These moments you have created for yourself.
You can choose to drift off into sleep or if you want you can stay here for as long as you want and when you're ready you can begin to take in a deeper breath and wiggle your body awake.
Thank you for joining me on this dreamland adventure to Colorado.
I look forward to exploring again with you soon.
