Hi there,
Welcome to our dreamland adventure to Kauai.
You don't need to pack anything or do anything at all.
Find a comfortable position and let's go for a ride.
Imagine looking up into the sky and connecting to the light all the way up there.
Breathe it in.
Now let go of that breath completely.
Let's take another breath in.
Can you sense your lungs filling up?
On your next exhale,
Feel your body empty out of air.
On your next breath in,
Imagine flying high into the sky.
You aren't alone.
I'm with you.
And you can also imagine any of your friends and family with you on the ride.
It's up to you whether you invite anyone on your adventure.
We're heading to Kauai,
One of the Hawaiian islands.
We'll explore the sights of the island and finish on a sandy beach at sunset.
For now,
Your breath will help get us there.
The slower,
Easier breath you take,
The better the ride.
As we head up into the sky,
We see massive,
Fluffy,
White clouds sharing the sky with the most brilliant blue sky.
Take a look below and wave goodbye to your home as we leave your neighborhood and take ourselves across your town until we reach the Pacific Ocean.
There are thousands of miles of ocean between the west coast of the United States and the Hawaiian Islands.
Let's enjoy the flight as our journey has just begun.
Take a look down at the sea.
You'll start to notice fins dipping in and out of the water.
We're in luck as we've come upon a huge group of dolphins playing in the waves.
Focus on your next breath.
Think about taking an easy,
Slow breath in and a slow,
Easy breath out.
Well done.
You're breathing so well that at this rate,
We'll be able to see the dolphins jump into the air,
Splashing their way through the ocean.
The dolphins are so joyful and lighthearted mammals.
Smart,
Too.
Let's take a few more breaths here,
Watching the dolphins gracefully dive in and out of the water.
Just as the dolphins dive into the sea,
Encourage your breath to go a little deeper into your belly.
That's it.
Then let your next breath out be at an unhurried pace.
We could watch the dolphins all day,
But there is so much to see.
Let's use our next couple of breaths to take us back higher into the sky and straight towards the islands.
As we fly over the water,
Let's keep an eye out for humpback whales.
We are heading into famous whale-watching water,
Where humpback whales come to have their babies.
If we watch closely,
We might get to see these gentle giants of the sea.
As your mind focuses on your next breath,
Keep your eyes on the horizon,
That distant line of water that meets the sky,
And see if you can see any sprays of water in the air.
That's a good sign of whales.
All whales have to breathe air just like you and I.
When they come to the surface from the depths of the ocean,
They exhale from their blowholes.
Oh,
What a treat!
There's a pod of whales straight ahead.
You may be able to catch a few sprays shooting into the sky.
As we take our next few breaths slow and easy out and in,
We'll be able to hover a safe distance over these beautiful creatures.
You can spot the baby whale right next to her mom.
The baby is learning how to jump in the air.
Oh,
She almost cleared the water there.
The mom is going to teach the baby how to do this by taking a big jump out of the water herself.
There she goes.
Her whole body is above the water.
Now she makes a big splash as she dives back into the ocean.
The water came so close to us,
We almost got wet.
On your next exhale,
Make it smooth and easy to go a little higher.
We might get to see the baby try again.
Oh,
The baby got even higher this time with an even bigger splash.
Well done,
Little whale.
It's time to leave our whale friends behind.
We appreciate the jumping show,
But let's continue on to the peaceful land of Kauai.
We are almost there.
A couple more mindful breaths,
And we'll begin to see the famous cliffs of the island.
Let's fly right along these towering sea cliffs.
There's also narrow valleys and slowing waterfalls.
Can you start to hear the roar of that waterfall up on our right?
We can see the water flowing down into the base of the valley.
There's a rainbow arching above the pool of water at the bottom as the mist floats into the sky.
Can you pick out all the colors of the rainbow?
The blue and purple are so light,
But they are there.
Can you see them if you look really closely?
Let's hover here a moment with our breaths.
Take a smooth breath in and a smooth breath out.
Beautiful.
Let's use our breaths to keep going around the island.
As we continue on,
There are white sandy beaches all around the island that are surrounded by crystal clear ocean water.
Up ahead,
We'll start to see a group of snorkelers swimming over the reef watching the tropical fish.
Let's use our breaths to dip down a little lower so we can take a look at all the fish and coral,
Too.
The fish represent the rainbow we just saw.
There are red fish and orange fish,
Yellow,
Blue,
And purple fish,
And the coral has a bunch of different colors,
Too.
Reds,
Whites,
Browns,
With sprouts of greens growing in and around the nooks and crannies.
The sea turtle is up ahead on the left,
Gliding effortlessly through the water,
Slow,
Steady,
A peaceful pace.
He dips down lower,
Now flying through the sea.
Use your next inhale to take us to shore now.
Do you see those hammocks up ahead between the palm trees?
After crossing the ocean and seeing all the nature and wildlife,
Let's take a rest and allow the breeze to gently rock us in these cozy hammocks.
The hammocks are an ideal place to rest and enjoy the upcoming sunset.
The ball of yellow is slowly going down into the water,
As if the ocean is opening up and welcoming the sun to rest for a day of heating and warming the earth.
The ball of yellow begins to turn orange,
Then red,
And the sky and the long swirls of clouds take in the oranges and reds,
As the blue sky shifts to one of light blues and purples.
As the ball of light gets smaller and smaller,
Our breath starts to slow down even more so.
We notice that we no longer need to control the breath,
We are no longer flying.
Just like the sun gets to set,
Our bodies get to rest and restore,
And our minds get to enjoy this nice break as well.
The breath happens to slow down even more as we soak in our adventure to Kauai.
The smell of the salty water,
The gentle breeze,
The movement of the waves as they roll into the shore and then back out to the sea.
As each wave moves in and out,
It brings us into a deeper state of quiet and ease.
We can feel the oxygen entering and leaving our lungs,
The special awareness we didn't have before.
Through our travels and flight,
We are able to change our breath.
Now we get to just observe the breath,
The rhythm of movement happening within our bodies as each breath comes in and goes out.
As we gaze upon the peaceful ocean scene,
We start to get a little tired.
As we are gently rocked in the hammock,
We begin to feel the weight of our bodies welcome the support of the hammock,
The netting below us.
The breath is easy and controlled.
We begin to feel our feet soften and our lower legs.
Then this relaxation spreads to our upper legs and hips,
Our backs.
All those muscles start to soften and release.
The strong muscles begin to let go.
The shoulders are wide and the arms are resting.
The belly rises and falls with each breath.
The chest expands and settles back in.
Your throat softens.
And then the lips,
Cheeks,
And forehead.
And all the muscles in your face begin to get heavy,
Nice and heavy.
Relaxed.
You notice the breath moving in and out of the very tip of your nose,
Knowing that you don't have to control the breath.
The breath will happen on its own.
Your body is taking care to breathe for you.
Your mind and body get to fully welcome and appreciate this downtime,
These moments you have created for yourself.
You can choose to drift off into sleep,
Or if you want,
You can stay here for as long as you want.
And when you are ready,
You can begin to breathe in a deeper breath and wiggle your body awake.
Thank you for joining me on this dreamland adventure to Kauai.
I look forward to exploring again with you soon.
