Hi everyone,
This is Stephanie Boxer Baum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
For today's practice,
We're going to be doing a quick 10-minute check-in practice.
I love a practice like this that you can do any time of the day just to simply check in.
I think sometimes with our busy work schedules and busy lives that we forget to check in to see how we're feeling,
How we're doing.
So this is a 10 minute reset that you can come to any time.
There won't be any music for this one.
It will just be heavily guided and just a bit of a check in to see how you're doing and to check in to see what you need.
So on that note,
Coming to a supported seat.
Or you could lay down,
Whatever really feels comfortable for you today.
It's really settling into your body.
And doing what feels good.
And when you're ready.
Gently closing your eyes.
And taking a deep breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
And doing that one more time.
Deep breath in.
Gentle breath out.
Just landing where you are today.
Letting go whatever you were doing before this.
Letting go of whatever you're doing after.
And allowing this time to be just for you.
Knowing that all's enough as is right now in this moment.
No need to change anything.
Fix anything.
Simply just being yourself.
In this moment.
You On this next inhale in.
Letting out some ease and peace for yourself.
Asking the question.
How am I doing?
Just silently to yourself.
You don't have to say it out loud.
How am I doing?
No judgment for the answer.
You could have multiple answers and that's okay.
This is a place and a space for you to be you.
To take up as much room as you need.
So we don't want to get too caught up in the story.
Just simply looking at the feeling internally of how you're doing.
If things have been particularly challenging,
Adding in a layer of self-compassion.
We all get to feel how we need to feel.
And on this next inhale in.
Asking yourself the question,
What do I need?
What do I need?
Just seeing what arises.
There is no right or wrong answer.
Just a gentle check-in.
What do I need?
This is something that's guided very internally.
We are not looking at external answers,
But more internally,
What do we need?
Maybe more care for ourselves.
Maybe more fun.
As life is always a moving picture and we talk a lot about impermanence.
The way we feel right now.
May change tomorrow.
But in this moment.
Give yourself permission to check in.
And to see what you need.
I'll watch our time here for these next few minutes while we Stay in a silent moment here.
And if it feels comfortable,
Maybe placing a hand on your heart.
Or clasping your hands together.
To remind yourself that no matter how busy you are,
How life feels.
We can offer care for ourselves.
And that can take shape in many different ways.
Gently breathing in.
Deep exhale out.
Allowing yourself to be exactly as you need to be in this moment.
And I'll watch our time here for these next few moments.
On this next inhale.
And your deep exhale.
Setting an intention for the rest of the day.
Or if you're headed into your evening.
Taking a path.
Of what feels good to you.
Just right now in this moment.
Setting that intention for the rest of how you want the day to go.
It's easy.
When things are.
Tactic or have a big to-do list to sort of forget this idea that we have a choice.
We can choose how we want to feel.
Because that's really what we do control.
We always have a choice.
In our perspective.
In our mindset.
And as the feelings come in,
Checking in with what we need.
So beginning to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Coming back into the space you are in right now.
And when you're ready.
Gently opening your eyes.
So sharing that reminder that you are always enough as is.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today and I look forward to meditating with you again soon.
