Beautiful soul,
Welcome to the meditation to help you cope with your grief.
Grief is the most difficult emotion to be going through in this life,
No matter how big or how small,
How fresh or how old your loss is.
Whether it is your pet,
Your job,
A friend,
Your grandparent or your child.
Grief is so very personal and no grief is ever the same.
But it is an inevitable part of life and we all ought to cope with it.
This meditation will do exactly that,
Will help you cope with it.
At the end of this meditation you will come out feeling lighter and more at ease.
And so we begin.
Make sure you're in a comfortable position.
Preferably sitting with your spine straight,
Feeling as if there is a string attached to the top of your head pulling you up.
And bring your attention to your breath,
To your divine breath.
Noticing it gently flowing through your body.
Flowing from the top of your head into the tips of your toes.
As it flows,
It gently touches and caresses your body.
The inside and the outside of your body.
It goes through all of your internal organs,
Molecules and cells.
It goes through your head,
Your neck,
Your torso,
Your arms,
Your hands and your fingers,
Your legs,
Your feet and your toes and your soles.
Feel it gently flowing through your body.
Not forcing it.
Just allowing for a gentle flow.
Bring your attention inwards.
Go inside your body.
As if you're softly sliding under your skin.
Feeling the inside of your body.
Feeling your heart center and your heart.
Noticing the feelings and sensations there.
What does it feel like?
Does it feel sad?
Does it feel heavy?
Does it feel painful,
Dark,
Maybe uplifted and happy or maybe just neutral?
Keep noticing those feelings one at a time.
Sit with that heaviness in your heart,
Deeply feeling it.
Let it go.
Sit with your pain,
Just feeling it.
Now let it go.
Sit with the darkness,
Just feeling it.
Now let it go.
Sit with your grief,
Deeply feeling it.
It is the deepest wound.
Allow it to be healed with light.
That comes from within.
Notice how your heart became much lighter.
Your whole body became lighter and more at ease.
Find yourself standing by the ocean.
In front of a massive mountain.
It is so massive that you can't even see the top of it.
It's a cloudy and windy day.
The waves are big,
Crashing into the shore.
There is no path,
Only a dark tunnel going through the mountain.
That's the only path for you to walk.
The tunnel is dark.
There is no light.
But you are bravely approaching the passageway.
Taking a deep breath in,
You courageously make the first step.
It's dark.
The tunnel is really dark.
There is not even a sliver of light.
As you make another step,
You feel the rocks underneath your feet.
As you're walking,
You're holding on to walls.
Because it's not an even path.
It's rocky.
Very dark and rocky.
Only rocks and stones to walk on.
Some are bigger and some are small.
And it's hard to walk.
But fearlessly you keep on walking.
Making one little step at a time.
Putting one foot in front of the other.
Sometimes you fall.
But you courageously stand up and walk again.
The air is misty,
Damp and wet.
Making it even harder for you.
But you don't stop.
You keep on walking.
Keep on walking.
Courageously,
You keep on walking.
You don't stop.
You keep moving.
As you look at the end of the tunnel,
There is a light.
A tiny sparkle of light giving you hope.
You realize now that you are strong.
Very strong.
Much stronger than you think you are.
This gives you powers and yet another boost of energy.
As you keep moving through the tunnel,
The light at the end of the tunnel gets bigger and brighter.
You start to see the path of rocks.
But now it's easier,
Much easier to walk.
As you see more and more,
The light keeps getting lighter and brighter.
With each step giving you more hope to make it through.
The anticipation is within you,
Giving you more strength and courage.
You don't stop.
You keep on walking.
Eagerly excited to see what's at the end of the tunnel.
You don't stop.
You keep on walking.
You don't stop.
You keep on moving.
As you're approaching the end of the tunnel,
The light is getting bigger and brighter.
You see some greenery and some colorful flowers from far away.
You keep on walking.
As I will count from 10 to 1,
You will be approaching the end.
And on the count of 1,
You will be out.
Out of the dark tunnel.
Out of the tunnel.
You're getting closer.

The light is getting brighter.
4,
3,
2.
The light is bright and you are almost at the end of the tunnel.
1,
You're out of the tunnel.
Find yourself on a gorgeous beach.
A beach that looks like paradise.
As you walk around with amusement,
You see the ocean that's green.
The sun is shining brightly.
White sand in between your toes.
Somewhere further out are growing flowers.
Some magical,
Translucent flowers of many different colors.
As you approach it and gently touch one,
It lights up with color and flies away.
As if it was a firefly taking your pain away.
You touch another one.
It lights up again and starts to sparkle.
Taking your heaviness away.
As you keep touching them one at a time,
They keep on lighting up.
Gently taking your darkness,
Pain,
And grief away.
The sky is full of them now.
Sparkling in many different colors.
As they keep on flying higher and higher,
They take your pain further and further away.
Turning it into sparkling night sky stars.
Your grief has been lifted and you're feeling lighter,
Softer,
More fluid,
Calm,
Uplifted,
And tranquil.
As if you're ready to fly.
Feel your body relaxing and easing into this lightness.
Pure silver lightness.
With this lightness now,
Bring your presence back to your body.
Back to yourself.
Feel the inside and the outside of your body.
Gently move your fingers.
And your toes.
Gently move your head side to side.
And when you're ready,
You may open your eyes.
Bringing this lightness into your day.
