A warm welcome to today's guided meditation.

We will use positive affirmations to help you feel more calm and collected in your everyday life,

As well as helping you to stand up to feelings of negativity,

Anxiety or stress.

In truth,

Negative thoughts will always come and go,

And often they will hang around for longer than we'd like.

It's so easy to find ourselves suddenly in a spiral of negative thinking,

Then wondering how we even got there.

This isn't helped by the fact that most of us are probably connected to the online world and might be bombarded with sad or tragic news daily,

Political scandals and the general chaos of social media.

The good news is that there are many ways that we can help ourselves through this,

And today we will share a short meditation together that will hopefully have a lasting impact on your day.

So just allow yourself to get into a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down,

And we will start with a simple breathing exercise known as 3-4-5,

Giving you some time to calm and centre yourself.

Breathe in through the nose to a count of three,

Hold for four,

And breathe out through the mouth for five,

And again that's in for three,

Hold for four,

And release for five.

Repeat this a few times now at your own pace.

Now allow your breathing to fall back into a natural rhythm and enjoy any new sensations that you might notice.

A regular practice of positive affirmations can help you to face your problems and worries head on and help you to manage your thought process so that you can go forward with more positivity,

Acceptance and confidence,

As well as giving love and support to yourself and those around you.

When you hear these powerful affirmations,

You can repeat them out loud or in your head and allow whatever feelings to come when you speak these words of kindness to yourself.

I am blessed.

I know that I have so much to offer.

I am capable of achieving all my goals.

I am composed in the face of problems.

My positive attitude improves my life.

I am focusing only on the things I can control.

I am distancing myself from unnecessary stress.

I allow myself to relax and have fun.

I give kindness each and every day.

I am energized and excited for the future.

I strive to make the most out of each day.

I am deserving of success and stability.

I am capable of solving any problems that come my way.

I am taking steps to improve all the time.

I am comfortable in my own skin.

Recovery and sleep.
