Dear Creator.
The mystery of life.
The one who gives us life.
I thank you.
To beloved.
Ancient waters.
The sacred waters of Earth.
We come before you now.
With open hearts.
Remembering that we are made of you.
To the same rivers.
That carved a canyon.
Move quietly through our veins.
That the same ocean that breathes against the shore.
Breathes within the rise and fall.
Of her own chest.
Oh great mother of all waters.
You who were here.
Before the first song was sung.
You who carried the first life.
In your dark.
And luminous depth.
We honor you.
We honor the rain that falls without asking.
Where it's needed.
We honor the snow that holds its silence.
On the mountain.
Patiently waiting to become the stream.
We honor the underground spring.
The hidden waters that move through stone and darkness.
Carrying their medicine unseen.
Forgive us,
Sacred waters.
For the time we have forgotten.
Your holiness.
Forgive us.
Treating you as a resource.
When you.
Are more than that.
You are a relative.
Connected to us.
Please forgive.
The brothers and sisters who have forgotten their connection to you.
Who pour poison into your body.
May all beings.
Remember,
We are connected to you.
Help us remember.
May every.
Human being,
Remember.
We must heal the waters.
Which heal the blood of every living being.
We offer our prayer now to the rivers.
That have been damaged.
And divert it.
May they one day run free and singing again.
To the oceans that carry too much of our forgetting.
May they be cleansed by our remembering.
To the lakes that hold reflection of the moon.
May they remain mirrors of the sacred.
Sacred Waters,
Teach us your ways.
Teach us how to be soft.
As you soften the hardest stone,
Not by force,
But by patience.
Help teach us to flow around what cannot be moved.
And to wear down.
What must be changed.
Teach us to be still enough.
That others may see themselves reflected in us.
And deep enough.
That we can hold.
What the world places.
In our keeping.
Help us,
Sacred waters,
To become like you.
Always seeking the lowest place,
Yet powerful enough to shape mountains.
Clear enough to see through.
Deep enough to hold mystery.
Generous enough to give ourselves away in every breath.
And every act of love.
We send our blessings now.
To every drop of water on this earth.
To the waters and the clouds and in the glaciers.
To the waters in the roots of the cedar.
And the whale's great heart.
To the water in the bodies of all beings,
The two-legged.
The four-legged.
The winged,
The finned,
And the rooted one.
May the waters be clean.
May the waters be free.
May the waters be honored in every nation by every people and every prayer.
Now and for.
Seven generations to come.
As we drink from you.
Sacred waters.
May we taste our own belonging.
As we bathe in you.
May we be cleansed.
Clean.
And cleared of any impurities.
Thank you for the sacred water.
For blessing us.
We offer gratitude.
Protection.
And love.
Thank you.
And so it is.
Oh.
