What If My Life Is Full Of Regrets

Here I speak about regrets, and how much they are part of our lives. I speak about how we usually see them, and I present a different perspective that can change our perception, and make us be at peace with our past, our present, and our future.

My name is Sangeet and today I am speaking about regrets. How many times do we regret? How many times do we wish to go back and to change something or everything? We keep regretting and accumulating regrets to the point of hating our past, Our life, Ourselves. We regret what we thought, What we did, What we saw and what we felt. We regret what happened and we think that this is it, No more regrets. And little did we know that whatever we are currently doing and experiencing is going to be part of another future regret from the past. But what is this and why does this happen? Here is the thing, What we see as a regret, It is just a moment of awareness, Of clear consciousness of previous events, Choices and decisions and their consequences through our current perception. Because we not always like the results of each and every single thing, We regret. We want to go back and to change it. There are great mental techniques to change the past and we can keep using and reusing them in our favor. However, We will easily realize that life is not about doing everything right. Life is way more about gaining wisdom from everything that we experience and about embodying a full and overall state of gratitude and of compassion not only in general but also for ourselves. We think regret is bad, But what if regret is good? It shows us that we are humans, Not robots, With a heart and with the capacity to grow and to learn and to evolve in many ways. It shows us that we have the ability to reflect, To think, To rise above and to see the big picture while acknowledging what our consciousness allows us to. To regret can be beautiful if we look at it as a sign of growth and of intelligence, Rather than a sign of wrongness and of stupidity. The only reason we don't like regretting is because as soon as we feel it, We see it as something that we cannot change and that we wished it would have gone differently and therefore we are forced to be sad about it. But what we don't see is that regret is inevitable, Because as we step into this planet, This is it. We are faced with thing after thing, Challenge after challenge, And no matter what we choose to do, Every time we look back, We could always improve it. It is like pinpointing flaws in a painting, No matter how wonderful it is. Good that we have the capacity to analyze things once they are done. However, While they are being created from scratch, That is a whole other story. Our creations deserve respect, Even if we don't like them, Because they happen for a reason, Or for many reasons, Reasons that we may not even know about. And they always have their own value, And it is usually way, Way higher than we think. So today, Let's regret and embrace it. It means that we are alive, That we think, That we feel, And that we are currently experiencing life in this planet as human beings. Our lives could have been so much better, And guess what, They could have been so much worse. Duality plays a role, It is a thing, And it is okay. Life goes on, Anyway.
