Here I speak about waiting and how much we wait for everything in this planet. I also bring clarity to this subject and a new perspective that can help us coming out of the heaviness of having to wait.

My name is Sangeet,

And today I have something to tell you about waiting.

None of us like to wait,

Yet we wait everywhere,

All the time.

We wait in queues,

In stores,

We wait for food,

For people,

For animals.

We wait for the right person,

The right people,

The right place,

The right time.

We wait to be pregnant,

To give birth,

To be born,

To be ready.

We wait for the train,

For the bus,

For the plane.

We wait on the road,

On the street.

We wait for an opportunity.

We wait for our turn to pay,

To play,

To have,

To go,

To be,

To become.

We wait for something to end,

And for something to start.

We wait for a break,

For a pause.

We wait for the holidays.

We wait for the job,

The house,

The marriage,

The divorce.

We wait to be healed,

To feel better.

We wait to be back,

Or to move forward.

We wait to fall asleep.

We wait for a message,

For a call,

For a letter.

We wait for an apology.

We wait for recognition,

For victory,

For success.

We wait for the sun,

For the clouds to be gone,

For the rain to stop,

For the rain to come.

We wait for a shooting star,

For a dream to be true.

We wait for a sign,

For a synchronicity,

For a blessing,

For a miracle.

We wait to be happy,

To be at peace.

We wait,

And wait,

We wait our entire life.

We wait because we anticipate whatever comes next,

As if we couldn't handle whatever it is that is happening now.

We wait because we don't know what else to do.

None of us like to wait,

Yet we wait everywhere,

All the time.

Do we want to wait?

No,

We want what we want,

And we want it now.

But as soon as we have it,

What else will we do if not waiting?

If waiting would stop,

So would we,

At least in this planet,

Because waiting is part of the knowing that life keeps going,

And more is yet to come.

But none of us like to wait,

Right?

So what can we do about it?

We can remove our focus from the past and from the future,

And whatever is emerging,

We can simply call it being.

The heaviness of waiting only have a place if we keep seeing any action as a waste,

And it dissipates if we include all actions as fallible.

This is beyond acceptance,

Because acceptance can bring a confused sense of frustration,

As if we were tolerating something that we hate.

This is about doing whatever we do and going through whatever we go through with a light and open heart and a sense of playfulness.

Have you ever heard the expression,

Don't play with the food?

And what happens if we follow it?

We feel restricted,

Controlled,

We feel forced to stand straight,

To look serious and to be mostly silent,

When all we want is to smile and to have fun,

Right?

Well,

This is about giving ourselves permission to feel free to do what we want.

Not that we have to jump,

To look silly or to be loud,

And of course this is not about harming or offending anyone.

But if we are including everything and not seeing half or more of our experiences as a complete waste of our time,

Then every single moment becomes an opportunity for us to bring and to extract more wisdom and more joy from whatever it is that is happening.

And this is valid for anything,

At any moment,

Day and night.

So,

Today,

Every day,

Let's be present,

Really present.

Let's be exactly where we are,

As we are,

Despite the past,

The future,

Despite our wants and needs and even despite time.

Where we are is perfect as it is,

There is no need to rush or to be anywhere else.

And let's not put our happiness on hold for anything.

Nothing is more important than our pure and beautiful sense of freedom and of joy that comes with us everywhere,

Even when we are waiting.
