This is a quick 7-minute centering meditation, for when you're feeling a bit frazzled or disconnected. This is a good meditation to have on hand for those moments of overwhelm, allowing yourself to center and ground, and become more connected to your body in only 7 minutes.

Hello and welcome.

Take a moment to settle yourself.

You can either be sat in a chair,

On the floor,

Or even laid down if that feels more comfortable for you.

Wherever you are,

Just taking a few slightly deeper breaths,

Perhaps closing the eyes if that feels good for you,

And then just allowing your breaths to become slightly deeper,

Slightly fuller,

And with every inhale moving the awareness into the body with the breath,

And just beginning to notice whatever is present within the body,

Feelings,

Emotions,

Sensations,

And we're not trying to label anything as good or bad,

Right or wrong,

We're just simply noticing,

Becoming aware,

Allowing whatever is to be,

Not trying to change anything.

We're going to come into a little visualization.

As you inhale,

You're going to visualize the breath coming in purely from the left nostril,

And you're going to visualize inhaling pure blue cooling light through the left nostril,

From the nostril all the way down to the pelvic floor,

And with every exhale the breath will return back from the pelvic floor all the way up the right side of the body,

And up the right side of the nose,

But through the right side the breath will be warm golden light.

Inhaling cooling blue light through the left,

Exhaling warming golden light through the right.

Just continue like this for a few rounds of breath.

Notice how this feels in the body,

And when you first begin it might feel like these breaths are quite far out towards the outer peripheries of the body,

But the more we do it,

The more breaths we take,

These lights might feel like they're coming slightly closer to the center line,

Perhaps reaching a point where the cooling blue light and the warming golden light are almost merging in this central channel next to the spine,

And really gently and slowly we'll release the visualization,

But still noticing how you feel now,

Becoming subtly aware of the space around you,

Sounds,

Smells,

Tastes,

And if your eyes are closed you might really gently open them,

And just take a look around at your surroundings.
