Welcome.

Today we'll explore a grounding meditation inspired by the strength and flow of a tree.

This practice will help you feel rooted and steady while inviting gentle movement to restore a sense of calm and connection.

Take a moment to find a position that feels right for you,

Whether standing tall,

Sitting,

Or any other posture where you feel stable and supported.

Your base is like roots,

Anchoring you securely to the ground.

Feel that connection now beneath you.

Steady and unwavering.

Begin to bring your attention to your breath.

Inhale deeply,

Noticing the air flowing into your body.

Exhale slowly,

Releasing tension.

If you feel comfortable,

You may close your eyes,

Soften your gaze,

Or simply focus gently ahead.

Now imagine yourself as a tree standing strong in a peaceful landscape.

Your roots reach into the earth,

Providing nourishment and support.

With every inhale,

Picture your roots growing deeper,

Bringing in strength and stability.

As you exhale,

Allow your body to soften and begin to sway gently from side to side,

As if moving with a light breeze.

Slowly lift your arms slightly away from your body.

Palms are relaxed as though they are branches responding to the wind.

Feel the rhythm of your breath guiding your motion.

Inhale as you sway one way.

Exhale as you lean to the other side.

Notice how this gentle movement feels natural.

Allow the rhythm to bring ease to your body and mind.

Quiet balance that settles within you as you flow.

Picture your branches moving gently with the wind,

Flexible and flowing,

While your trunk remains steady and your roots firmly grounded.

You are strong yet adaptable,

Finding ease in the natural rhythm of movement.

Take a moment to think about what kind of tree you are.

Are you a tall and sturdy oak,

Maybe a flowing willow,

Or perhaps a colorful maple?

Let the qualities of your tree infuse your being.

Gradually allow your movements to slow,

Coming back to stillness.

Let your arms gently return to your sides or rest them in a comfortable position.

Feel the strength of your roots anchoring you to the earth and the gentle flow of your breath moving through you.

Take a deep inhale,

Drawing in the calm and steadiness of this moment.

Exhale fully,

Releasing any tension,

Just like the wind carrying away leaves from a tree.

As you return your awareness to the present,

Notice how rooted and steady you feel,

Yet free to move with life's natural rhythm.

Let the sense of balance and connection carry you through the rest of your day.
