Welcome.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to arrive exactly as you are.

In work and in leadership,

We're often encouraged to be strong,

Confident,

And composed.

And while those qualities matter,

What truly builds trust and connection is something quieter and often braver,

Being real.

Today's reset is an invitation to step out of performance and into authenticity,

To soften the need to have it all together,

And to reconnect with the part of you that is honest,

Present,

And human.

There is a Japanese art form called Kintsugi,

The practice of repairing broken pottery with gold.

Instead of hiding the cracks,

They are honored.

The breaks become part of the beauty,

Part of the story.

Leadership is much the same.

Our challenges,

Missteps,

And moments of not knowing are not flaws to conceal.

They are places where wisdom,

Humility,

And connection can form.

We'll move through five simple steps.

Relax,

Exhale,

Stillness,

Empowerment,

And transformation so you can lead and work from a place of grounded vulnerability and genuine connection.

Nothing to prove,

Nothing to fix,

Just space to reset and return to what's real.

Let's begin.

Relax your body and mind.

Settle into a position that feels steady and supported.

Let your shoulders drop,

Unclench your jaw,

Soften your brow.

Notice where you might be holding tension,

The kind that comes from trying to get things right or trying to hold it all together.

For this moment,

You don't need to manage anyone or anything.

You get to simply arrive as yourself.

Like a piece of pottery resting safely in skilled hands,

Let your body receive the permission to be exactly as it is.

No polishing required.

Exhale deeply and intentionally.

Take a slow breath in through your nose.

Exhale through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale steady and full.

Exhale,

Releasing what you no longer need to carry.

With each exhale,

Imagine setting down the expectations,

The self-protection,

The need to appear a certain way.

In Kintsugi,

The repair begins only after the pieces are gently laid down.

You cannot mend what you refuse to acknowledge.

You don't have to be perfect to be effective.

You just have to be present.

Stillness through meditation.

Allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.

Nothing to control,

Nothing to fix.

In this quiet space,

Bring gentle awareness to how you usually show up with others.

Where do you feel open?

Where do you feel guarded?

Without judging,

Simply notice.

Now consider this question softly and kindly.

What would it feel like to be just a little more real,

More honest about what you know?

More honest about what you don't?

More honest about what you're carrying?

Vulnerability doesn't mean oversharing.

It means not hiding behind who you think you're supposed to be.

Just as gold fills the cracks in Kintsugi,

Awareness fills the spaces where growth can happen.

Rest here for two minutes.

I will keep time.

Letting yourself be fully human,

Strong,

And learning,

Capable,

And still growing.

Empower with affirmations.

Let these statements settle in.

I'll offer each one three times slowly.

You can repeat them silently or just let them wash through you,

Noticing what resonates without effort.

I don't need to be perfect to be trusted.

I don't need to be perfect to be trusted.

I don't need to be perfect to be trusted.

My authenticity creates safety for others.

My authenticity creates safety for others.

I lead best when I lead as myself.

I lead best when I lead as myself.

I lead best when I lead as myself.

It is safe to be honest,

Thoughtful,

And real.

It is safe to be honest,

Thoughtful,

And real.

It is safe to be honest,

Thoughtful,

And real.

My presence means that I can be myself.

My presence matters more than my performance.

My presence matters more than my performance.

My presence matters more than my performance.

Like gold joining broken edges,

Let these words strengthen,

Not erase your lived experience.

Let them land,

Not as goals,

But as reminders of who you already are.

Now,

Let's transform your inner space.

As we close,

Notice what feels different.

Maybe it's subtle.

Maybe it's simply a sense of ease.

When leaders allow themselves to be real,

Teams feel permission to do the same.

When authenticity becomes the norm,

Connection strengthens,

Communication improves,

And trust grows.

Kintsugi teaches us that what has been repaired with care is often stronger.

And more beautiful than what was never broken.

Carry this with you into your next conversation,

Your next decision,

Your next moment of uncertainty.

You don't have to have all the answers to lead well.

You just have to be willing to show up honestly.

Begin to gently return,

Wiggle your toes,

Your fingers,

Moving your hands and your shoulders.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and hear these words.

As you move back into your day,

Carry this sense of openness with you.

Not as something you need to explain,

But as something you allow yourself to live.

Being genuine doesn't mean having all the answers.

It means being willing to listen,

To learn,

To meet others with honesty and respect.

Small moments of authenticity create strong cultures of trust.

And every time you choose presence over perfection,

You strengthen the people around you as well as yourself.

Thank yourself for taking this pause.

This is leadership from the inside out.

Until next time,

Stay grounded,

Stay human,

Stay true to who you are.
