Soften into this moment where no judgment exists, where no personal biography exists, and where loving presence simply is. Practicing this form of self-love meditation will get you in touch with the softness living within our animal body home. When we do so, we become the innocent, undefended sensitive, all-loving and astonishingly affectionate aliveness within. And when become this, we heal.

Thank you body,

You are so very loved,

You are so very loving.

How do you feel when you hear those words?

They can transform us into our unguarded,

Softened self.

They can also expose us to,

In a story we've told ourselves over time,

That keeps us defended against the very one who can lift us back into our highest being.

Touching the softness living within our animal body,

We become the innocent,

Undefended,

Sensitive,

All welcoming,

And astonishingly affectionate aliveness within.

Seated in an upright position,

Back straight,

Chest lifted,

Head tilted down slightly,

Settling into becoming more comfortable,

Feeling the sensation of the breath flowing in and out of your nose,

Noticing how it's cool as it enters,

And warmer as it flows out.

And just notice if there's any tension in your mind,

And just touch it lovingly with affectionate awareness.

Notice if there's any muscular tension in your body,

Could be in your face,

Or your jaw,

Your neck,

Your neck,

Solar plexus,

Stomach area,

Legs or arms,

And just warmly embrace whatever that sensation is with the gentleness you would use to kiss a sleeping baby on the forehead.

It is freeing to approach yourself with this level of gentleness and kindness,

Free from any pressure on your body or your mind.

This is an act of self-love,

A devotion to your body.

Coming into the felt sense of being and out of the noisiness of our mind,

Just let all things present in your environment be without resisting.

Notice they rise and subside with presence of awareness.

Without the presence of awareness,

Nothing would be registered as an experience.

So we know without question that there is awareness here.

And when we soften our defenses to whatever is arising in this moment,

We notice the natural inclination of awareness is affection,

Love,

Simple,

Open,

Spacious,

Joyful presence.

We are letting go of our knowledge,

Memory,

Our associations,

Our projections,

Our limiting beliefs,

Our biography,

Our resumes,

And just being here as the presence of awareness,

Our shared source and substance.

Awareness is total equality.

Awareness is total equanimity,

Softening into the innocent,

Undefended,

Sensitive,

All-welcoming,

And astonishingly lovingly affectionate aliveness within your body.

You don't have to do anything to gain that.

It is your very nature.

We are simply refraining to be anything other than who we truly are.

Here,

Your natural state is revealed to be shining warmth and affectionate energy,

Radiant light and clarity,

Conscious presence,

Clear,

Clean presence,

Untouched by memory or projection.

Just notice how much your body loves this message,

How much it delights in being here.

How much it delights in being reminded of its innocence.

And just keep feeling into that goodness,

That original goodness that has always been with you,

And will never leave you,

Because it is you.

Just rest for a little while longer in the comfort of your own being,

Being comfortable with your magnificent body,

Who has served your journey on earth so well.

Thank you,

Body.

You are so very loved.

You are so very loving.

There is no threat in this moment.

You can let down your defenses and be at peace,

Sipping the exquisite sensation of this presence like the nectar of a flower.

Let's bow down to ourselves a little longer in devotion and gratitude.

We thank you,

Consciousness,

The all,

Your own self,

For this nourishing,

Life-giving awareness.

Maybe take a moment to open your eyes very gently and slowly come back with gentleness.
