Renowned for her expertise in mindfulness, yoga, and meditation, she authored The Energetics of Joy: Natural Rebalancing Secrets to Stop Stressing and Start Living the Life You Want, offering transformative practices to cultivate balance and joy. Her teachings shine through her deep immersion in meditation, rooted in direct Buddhist wisdom from her root guru, Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, and her extensive yoga training as an 800-hour Certified Yoga Teacher (Kripalu and Dharma Yoga) under Shri Dharma Mittra, her preceptor for many years. Born in Guatemala City, she moved to the U.S. at 18, earning a B.S. from the University of Miami and a Master’s in Oriental Medicine from AMC College in Florida. A Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncture Physician, and Health Coach (Integrative Nutrition, NY), she founded the Dharma Clinic and hosts “Domingo de Despertares.” Living between Florida, Guatemala, and Australia with her husband and sons, Michelle’s work centers on mindfulness, yoga, and meditation to awaken presence and loving awareness in all who join her.
