Find a comfortable seat of your choice,
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Take time to acknowledge the space and time you've set aside for this practice.
Honor yourself for showing up today and each day you practice for however long it may be.
Inhale deeply through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.
Continuing like this two more times,
Taking the biggest inhalations and exhalations you've taken all day.
Notice how your breath feels today,
What sensations it brings in and lets go of,
Where it sits in your body,
Whether that be most in your belly or chest or somewhere else.
Just noticing.
Similarly,
Noticing your thoughts.
Gently letting any thoughts fall away as if they're being carried away by a breeze on the waves edge.
Once again,
Return to the breath,
Noticing your inhale and exhale.
Return slowly to your surroundings.
Notice the sounds and sensations around you.
