Hello beautiful people and welcome to this five-minute affirmation for divers Can listen to this recording either before heading out to your dive or while you're on the boat heading out to your dive It's completely common and completely normal even for very experienced divers To feel a sense of nervousness or apprehension before returning to the water again Know that this is completely okay,

And it's actually a good thing.

It is your nervous system doing its job And this recording shall hopefully bring you into a state of peace and presence To have a dive that is peaceful and in control Can go ahead and find a comfortable seat Allow your eyes to close Or perhaps if you are on the boat gazing out towards the water Lengthen your spine and relax your shoulders Take a deep slow breath in through the nose And exhale let it go You Have any nerves on the exhale can be a good time to kind of shake the body out as well Taking a deep breath in through the nose And exhale let it go And one more in through the nose And if you need shake it out Exhale let it go Can repeat the following affirmations in your head or out loud after I say them We can simply think them listen to them as we go along The water brings me peace and it brings me presence The water brings me peace and it brings me presence My breathing is slow and steady My breathing is slow and steady My buoyancy is easeful and effortless My buoyancy is easeful and effortless In the water and above the water I am calm and in control In the water and above the water I am calm and in control The water brings me peace and it brings me presence The water brings me peace and it brings me presence I trust in my skills in my instructor and my buddy I trust in my skills in my instructor and my buddy I am going to see beautiful wildlife in the ocean today I am going to see beautiful wildlife in the ocean today The water brings me presence and it brings me peace Can continue to repeat these affirmations on your dive or at any time Go ahead and take one last breath in through the nose And out through the mouth Knowing that you can return to this practice any time you need it And as always if you have any questions or concerns Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask me or the dive professional closest to you Have a beautiful and safe dive
