How to pause overthinking about difficult people right now.

I am Prachi and I practice emotional healing through food.
And of course,
Drinks.
Today we are going to use a simple grounded ritual with water.
To help you pause overthinking.
About difficult or toxic people in your life.
This practice is for anyone who finds themselves replaying conversations or carrying someone's heavy energy.
In their mind There are no physical limitations to this practice.
But it does require you to be sitting comfortably in a safe space.
So we want to stop overthinking about someone right now.
For this.
First,
I want you to physically remove yourself from the situation if you can and sit down wherever you are.
Grab a simple glass of water.
Because this water is going to act.
As our physical anchor to bring our mind back to the body.
Take a breath and hold this class in your hands.
Look at it.
When we overthink,
Our brain's flight or fight response gets active.
And by holding.
An object and preparing to drink it.
We are forcing the brain to focus on a safe task which naturally slows down all our racing thoughts.
Take a small glass of water.
And set.
Loosen your shoulders.
Let's take a small sip and hold it in our mouth.
And before we swallow.
Gently repeat.
These words with intention to yourself.
I am completely safe right now.
I am completely safe right now.
Let's take another slow sip.
And say I am protected.
And not in their control.
I am protected and not in their control.
With the next sip.
Let's bring another powerful intention to ourselves.
No one's energy has the power or permission to affect or disturb me.
No one's negative energy has the permission to enter or disturb me.
Let's repeat.
Without,
Any disturbance.
I am completely safe right now.
I am protected and not in their control.
No one's energy.
Has the permission to enter or disturb me.
I am completely safe right now.
I am protected and not in their control.
No one's energy has permission.
To enter or disturb me.
You can repeat these words for any number of times till you feel satisfied and internally calm.
And get a feeling of coming back to your own energy For now let's take a final sip of water.
And breathe.
Notice your breath.
After this practice,
When mind comes out of the overthinking loop,
You might feel a deeper breath.
And a little more space in your chest.
And this is your nervous system coming out of stress mode.
Please remember you cannot control how others act.
But you have absolute authority over how or who is allowed to live in your mind.
