Hi welcome today we are doing something extremely simple something you already do every day but in a way that helps your nervous system calm down almost instantly all you need is one sip of whatever you're drinking right now water chai coffee anything no closing your eyes no visualizing mountains we are doing this in real life with real sensations let's begin first pick up your cup or bottle before you sit just notice one thing how your shoulders are sitting right now are your shoulders slightly raised a bit tight just drop them even 2% lower that works that tiny drop already shifts your system out of stress mode now bring the drink closer to you don't sip yet just inhale normally and notice the temperature the aroma or even the lack of aroma this is your body coming back to the present moment now take one small sip not a big gulp just a tiny gentle sip as the liquid enters your mouth do this one thing let your exhale be slightly longer than you inhale not forced just naturally longer that's it this is the switch this alone activates your calming response feel that warmth or coolness traveling down with that sip notice how your jaw softens a little your stomach loosens a bit your breath steadies let the sip settle here is one line that you can softly say in your mind this one sip helps my body relax right now say it once more slowly this one sip helps my body relax right now now place the cup down notice your body again your shoulders your face your breath feel how even a five-second pause can reset your whole system feel it this is your first sip reset something you can use anytime before a stressful meeting when your thoughts start racing when your body feels full of noise or when you just need a moment of peace without stepping away from life one sip one breath one reset thank you for practicing with me have a peaceful day
