Thank you for joining me for today's meditation.

My name is Tanya Morris.

I'm the owner of Optimum Health Solutions here in Tucson,

Arizona.

Today's meditation is for relaxation and stress relief.

So I'd like you to take a moment to find a comfortable position to either sit or lie down.

And once you get comfortable,

Begin just taking a few nice deep breaths into the belly and exhaling.

And just do this two more times,

Bringing yourself fully into this moment in time.

And as you relax more and more,

Let's do a gentle body scan,

Starting from the top of your head.

And just scanning for any tightness or tension that you might feel in your muscles.

Are you feeling tension in your face or your jaw?

Or maybe the back of your neck?

And if so,

Take a nice deep breath into those areas with the intention of melting that tension away,

Letting it go completely.

And then when you feel ready,

Let's move down into the shoulders.

Feeling the shoulders relax with your breath.

Feeling the upper arms relax with your breath.

Moving down into the forearms,

Your hands,

Your fingers,

All completely relaxing.

Take a nice deep breath in and a long exhale as you bring your awareness into the chest and upper back.

Noticing if the chest and upper back feel any tension or tightness.

And if so,

Allow a deep breath into those areas,

Inviting those muscles to completely relax.

Feel into your ribcage now and take a nice deep breath in there,

Expanding your belly and exhaling any tightness in this area,

Letting it go.

Feel into your belly to your entire abdominal region.

Is there any tightness or tension here?

Take a deep breath into the belly and exhale,

Letting go.

And then breathing into the mid and lower back,

Relaxing any tension and tightness there.

Just releasing any stress from the body,

Stress from the mind with the breath and feeling it fall away.

Bringing your awareness into your hips and your thighs.

Just noticing if there's any tension and tightness here.

And if so,

Breathe into those areas with a nice calming and relaxing breath.

Letting go.

Then moving slowly down into the knees,

Your lower legs and into the feet.

Sending a deep healing and relaxing breath into those parts of the body.

And letting go of any tightness and tension.

And just notice how your body feels now since we first started.

Are you feeling more at peace and at ease?

Relax.

Know that you have the ability to tune into your body and relax anytime you feel tension in your body or stress in the mind.

Your breath is powerful and has the ability to make changes in your system pretty quickly.

All you have to do is give yourself a little time each day to rest and relax.

You can stay in this position as long as you feel and come out when you're ready.

I'm wishing you a wonderful day.

You
