So once you feel ready,

You can lie down and we're going to get started with yoga nidra.

The yoga nidra is for the new moon in Barani,

One of the most potent nakshatras.

Barani is the cosmic force of transformation.

It cleanses and takes away what is no longer needed,

Composts the past and clears the way for new beginnings.

It encourages us to embrace change,

Endure challenges and honor the profound balance between destruction and creation,

Discipline and desire and the cycles of life and death.

Try to stay aware and awake during the practice and simply follow my guidance.

So you're lying down in shavasana,

Feet hip width apart,

Hands alongside the body,

Palms up.

Make sure you're feeling warm.

I'll use a blanket to stay warm as you transition into relaxation.

Adjust your position to make sure you're comfortable and stay completely still for the time of the practice.

Eyes closed,

Become aware of your body lying on the ground.

Take a deep breath.

And as you exhale,

Relax.

Take another deep breath.

And as you exhale,

Relax even more.

Take one more deep breath.

And as you exhale,

Relax completely.

Notice the sounds around you,

Moving from one sound to the next without naming them.

First the sounds outside the room.

Notice every single sound.

Now the sounds in the room.

Notice every single sound.

Listen to my voice guiding you through the practice.

Listen to your breath,

To your heart beating in your chest.

Let go of the sounds now.

Just listen to my voice as I guide you through the practice.

Now create or remember an intention coming from the depth of your heart,

A seed,

Dream or vision you would like to manifest in your life.

Something extremely important to you.

This is your Sankalpa.

Make it a short and simple positive statement in the present tense.

Memorize it word by word.

Then clearly repeat it to yourself mentally with faith and trust through your breath.

Three times.

Let me guide you through parts of the body.

No need to do or think anything.

Just bring your attention to the body parts as I name them while remaining completely still.

Become aware of the space between the eyebrows.

Then bring your attention to the pit of the throat,

The right shoulder,

Right elbow,

Wrist,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger,

Wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

Back to the pit of the throat.

Now bring your awareness to the left shoulder,

Left elbow,

Wrist,

Thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Little finger,

Wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

Back to the pit of the throat.

Continue to the center of your chest,

How the ribcage beats.

Then move to the right breast,

Center of the chest,

Left breast,

Center of the chest,

Solar plexus,

Sacral chakra below the navel.

Move your attention to the right hip,

Right knee,

Ankle,

Back to the sacral chakra.

Below the navel.

Now bring your awareness to the left hip,

Left knee,

Ankle,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Fifth toe,

And pull.

Knee,

Back to the sacral chakra,

Below the navel.

Go back to your solar plexus,

Center of the chest,

Pit of the throat,

Back to between the eyebrows.

Feel your whole body.

Feel your whole body together.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Observe your chest and belly rise and fall smoothly,

Flowing with ease.

Feel the warmth of your breath through your nostrils with each exhale.

The breath is calm,

Deep and relaxed.

Prepare to internally count down your breath from 27 to 1.

As you observe your chest rise and fall at each count.

If you lose count,

Simply start over.

We will begin together.

Inhale 27.

Exhale 27.

Inhale 26.

Exhale 26.

Continue on your own now.

I'll take you through opposite physical sensations.

Imagine the sensations and make them feel real.

Bring about the sensation of coolness.

Notice the coolness in the air.

Coolness on your face.

Coolness on your arms and shoulders.

Feel the coolness in your whole body.

Now reverse the sensation and feel warmth.

Feel the warmth in your belly.

Spreading throughout your body.

Feel the warmth on your skin.

Feel the warmth in your whole body.

Let go of both sensations now.

Let me take you on a journey.

Visualize yourself outside on a warm summer night.

From afar,

You notice a bright shining light.

Approach slowly and find a sacred fire.

Burning brightly in the middle of rocks.

Assembled in the shape of a yoni.

Bringing light to earth.

This sacred fire represents the womb of transformation.

Carrying the power of life.

Death and rebirth.

Smell the warm and smoky aroma of burning wood and offerings.

Sit down on the ground before the fire.

Listen to the gentle crackles of the flames.

Feel the pleasant warmth of the flames caressing your face.

The front of your body.

Allow this sacred fire to gently cleanse and purify your aura.

Offer any old feelings and thoughts holding you back.

Any emotion that no longer serves you to the sacred fire.

And watch them burn and transform into pure radiant energy.

As you gaze at the sacred fire,

Gently focus on the flames lightly dancing in front of your eyes.

Like the creative energy within you.

The silence is complete and deep.

Notice the stillness and the deep calm.

The time appears to have stopped.

Notice the stillness and calm growing within you.

Feel the peaceful emptiness.

That moment of pause between the end of a cycle and the start of a fresh new one.

You are now able to connect to your intuition and listen deeply to receive wisdom from the moon.

What are you ready to remove from your life to make space for new growth?

What meaningful sacrifice can you make to allow yourself to transform and renew?

What do you desire to create and bring to life next?

Now,

Send a clear message out to the universe stating what you need,

Knowing that the energy of the moon will support you.

Give thanks to the moon for her support.

As dawn approaches,

Notice the embers softly twinkling.

Mirroring the flicker of joy within your heart.

Feel the gentle warmth of the rising sun upon your face.

Notice the gentle warmth of your inner fire and smile,

Feeling fully ready to begin a new journey.

Return to your sankalpa.

The intention you set at the beginning of the practice.

Remember it word by word and repeat it to yourself mentally three times.

Slowly return to your physical body.

Begin to notice your breath.

Feel the support of the ground beneath you.

Now notice the sounds around you.

Continue eyes closed and observe the room you are in.

Start to bring gentle movements to your fingertips and toes.

Stretch your arms and your whole body.

You can stay on your back and allow yourself to fall into a deep,

Restorative sleep.

Or,

With eyes closed,

Fall to the right side and slowly come up to sit.

Feel the aftereffect of the practice.

Start rubbing the palms of your hands together and place them above your closed eyes.

Slowly open your eyes in the palms of your hands.

Then gently remove your palms and look at a fixed spot in front of you to allow your eyes to adjust.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

Aryom tatsat.
