One of the most important practices that one can do in one's life is the practice of putting yourself in another person's shoes.
This practice is especially important with those people that are close to you.
It is also important for yourself because if you understand this practice,
You will start to gain insight into the true nature of reality.
For within this universe,
There is actually only one true nature of reality,
Even though we will never know what this truly is.
Your reality and the way you see the world is something that you normally experience primarily through your brain and through the nervous system.
Your nervous system,
Brain and experiences are very different to the person next to you,
Therefore the way they see the world is also going to be different to you.
Therefore the next time that you are arguing with your mother-in-law,
Your friend,
Your wife,
Your colleague or your child,
It is important for you to put yourself in their shoes and try to see how they are viewing that argument or that situation.
For if you see it from their side,
You may begin to realize that in their mind they are actually correct.
The only reason why this argument is taking place is because they are seeing reality in a different angle from you or maybe an angle that is far gone and quite incorrect.
Therefore you need to patiently teach them how to see reality for what it really is,
Assuming that you can see reality for what it really is yourself.
