Hi,
I'm Lauren,
EFT trainer and coach,
And welcome to this quick relief tapping session.
If your mind feels like it won't stop,
If you're replaying conversations,
Worrying about what's next,
Or jumping from one thought to the next thought,
You're in the right place today.
So before we begin,
I want you to notice how busy your mind feels right now.
There's no right or wrong answer here.
I just want you to give it a number on that scale from 0 to 10,
The busiest or the most overwhelming.
I want you to take a nice,
Deep,
Slow breath in.
And let it go.
And let's begin.
Tap where I tap and repeat after me.
On the pinky side of the hand.
Even though my mind won't slow down.
And it feels like I have to think my way through everything.
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though my thoughts keep racing.
And I'm exhausted from trying to figure everything out.
I'm open to giving my mind a little break.
Even though part of me believes I have to stay on high alert.
Maybe my nervous system is simply trying to protect me.
And maybe just for these next few minutes,
I don't have to carry it all.
Top of the hat,
My mind is moving so fast.
Eyebrow.
One thought after another.
Sides of the eyes.
It feels impossible to shut it off.
Under the eyes.
I'm trying to solve everything.
Under the nose.
I'm trying to prepare for everything.
Onto the chin crease.
I'm trying to make sure nothing goes wrong.
The collarbone.
No wonder I'm exhausted.
Under the arm.
My mind has been working overtime.
Back of the hand between that pinky and ring finger.
It's okay and I'm okay.
Coming back to the top of the head.
Maybe these racing thoughts aren't the problem.
Eyebrows.
Maybe they're a sign my nervous system is trying to keep me safe.
Side of the eyes,
Trying to stay one step ahead.
Under the eyes,
Trying to protect me from uncertainty.
Under the nose.
Trying to make sure I'm okay.
Onto the chin crease.
And I appreciate that part of me.
Collarbone,
It's been working so hard.
Under the arm.
Maybe it doesn't have to work quite so hard right now.
Back of the hand.
It's okay.
I'm okay.
Deep breath in.
And out.
Top of the head.
For these next few moments.
Eyebrow,
I don't have to solve every problem.
Side of the eye.
I don't have to answer every question.
Under the eye.
I don't have to know exactly what's going to happen.
Under the nose.
I can let one thought drift by.
Onto the chin crease and then I can let another thought drift by.
Collarbone.
Creating a little bit more space.
Under the arm.
One breath at a time.
Rock of the hand.
It's okay and I'm okay.
Taking a nice deep breath.
Let it go.
Top of the head.
Maybe it's okay to pause.
Eyebrow Maybe it's safe to breathe.
Side of the eye.
Maybe I don't need all the answers right now.
Under the eye.
I can trust myself to handle what comes.
Under the nose.
I have handled difficult things before.
Onto the chin crease.
I don't need to carry tomorrow today.
Collarbone.
My body can soften.
Under the arm.
My mind can soften too.
Back of the hand.
It's okay.
I'm okay.
Take a nice,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Let it go.
Notice how your mind is now.
Has your number shifted at all?
Has it gone down even just a tiny little bit?
And I want you to remember we're not trying to force the mind to be quiet here.
What we're doing is that we're helping our body remember that it's safe enough to rest.
We're allowed to rest.
We deserve to rest.
And often when the nervous system begins to settle down,
The mind is naturally going to follow suit.
So I want to thank you for taking these few minutes for yourself today.
Until next time!
Keep tapping,
One tap at a time.
Know that you are teaching your nervous system that you can handle this.
I'm sending all the good juju your way.
Take care of yourself.
