Welcome to day 4 of our 21-day meditation challenge for weight loss.
Today we will focus on cultivating a deep appreciation for your body.
This practice is about recognizing and honoring the amazing work your body does every day,
And shifting our mindset from criticism to gratitude.
Now,
Find a comfortable position where you can sit with ease.
You can sit in a chair with your feet firmly on the ground,
Or cross the leg on a cushion.
Let your spine be naturally aligned,
Not too rigid,
And reset your hands softly on your lap.
Close your eyes and gently begin by taking a few more deep breaths.
Inhale deeply through your nose,
And feeling your lungs expand,
And then exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let it go of any stress or tension.
Start by bringing your attention to the top of your head.
Slowly,
Allow your awareness to move downwards,
Noticing how each part of your body feels.
As you pass through each area,
Silently thank it for the work it does.
Notice your eyes,
Your ears,
Your nose,
Each part of your face.
Move down to your neck,
Shoulders,
And arms.
Continue to move your attention down your torso,
Your legs,
And finally your feet.
With each breath,
Send a wave of gratitude to these parts,
Acknowledging their contribution to your daily life.
Now,
Focus on any areas of your body that you may have been critical of in the past.
Instead of a judgment,
Thank these areas,
Love and gratitude.
Understand that every part of your body has a purpose and plays a role in your life.
As you breathe in,
Imagine filling your entire body with warmth and kindness.
As you breathe out,
Release any lingering negative thoughts or feelings about your body.
Repeat silently,
I appreciate my body for all it does for me.
I honor and cherish this vessel that carries me through life.
Let this sense of appreciation grow with each breath,
Filling your entire being with a sense of love and acceptance.
Take a few moments to let this feeling of gratitude settle in.
Know that you can return to this sense of appreciation whenever you need to remind yourself of your body's worth.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes slowly.
Carry this feeling of appreciation with you as you go about your day.
Remember to treat your body with the kindness and respect it deserves.
