Welcome to your five minute morning transition.

I'm Mellie G,

Inviting you to start your day with more clarity,

Intention,

And purpose.

We'll start with a quick reading to generate inspiration,

Practice gratitude,

Connect with your awareness and the present moment,

And finally set an intention for your day ahead.

Just five minutes to move towards right mind and right action.

First,

A short poem by Cleo Wade,

Where to Find It.

Kept looking for goodness,

Kept asking everyone where I could find the good in the world.

It was not until I looked within and grew my own goodness that I began to see it everywhere.

And with that,

I invite you to gently close your eyes and just begin to invite in gratitude.

Connect with all the things that you are grateful for.

Maybe it's this morning,

The opportunity of the day ahead,

Or something small,

Whatever it is,

Go ahead and connect with it now.

And now I invite you to settle your attention on your chosen anchor.

This may be your breath,

Could be a sound,

Something you're holding in your hands,

A body sensation.

Whatever you choose,

Just bring your awareness.

And you may notice thoughts quickly arise,

Just notice them and return to your anchor.

And from here,

I will take you through a brief body scan,

Beginning in your feet,

Moving up to your legs,

Your hips,

Abdomen,

Chest,

Shoulders,

Jaw,

Forehead.

And just take a moment to allow your whole body to soften into presence.

Now you have awakened your heart,

Your awareness,

Your body.

You are ready to set an intention,

Set an intention for your day ahead.

Maybe it's inspired by the poem,

The essence of goodness within you.

Maybe it's something else.

What do you want to carry into your day?

And as you allow this intention to arise,

Go ahead and take a moment visualizing what that intention will look like for you today.

And with that,

I invite you to take one final slow breath in.

And as you release,

Go ahead and gently open your eyes.

And I look forward to seeing you next time on The Morning Transition.
