Welcome to your five minute morning transition.
I'm Mellie G,
Inviting you to start your day with more clarity,
Intention,
And purpose.
The weight of our world feels heavy today.
And in these moments,
There's a temptation to move into a place of fear,
Or to allow our nervous systems to gradually become more and more dysregulated.
And so this morning,
I'm inviting you to do something different.
To give yourself permission to take an intentional pause.
And to allow yourself,
Before doing,
To let your nervous system just be.
To be.
To reset.
And to trust that from that place will come your greatest wisdom.
And with that,
I invite you to take a moment to really get settled.
To become fully present for this experience.
To give yourself full permission to turn off thoughts of what's happening out there.
And to come into the present.
And if you haven't already,
To close your eyes,
Or gently soften your gaze.
And begin to just awaken to your sensory experiences.
Noticing any sounds around you.
Noticing any smells,
Or tastes.
And noticing sensations of touch.
Perhaps the weight of your body against whatever is supporting you.
And then just gently,
Beginning to bring your attention to your breath.
Perhaps trying an exhale that is slightly longer than your inhale.
Beginning to turn on the part of our nervous system that is responsible for rest.
And maybe you start to generate just a bit of compassion towards yourself.
Gently putting a hand on your heart.
And knowing that we cannot give to others what we don't have within us.
And perhaps setting a small intention to let this continue.
This generation of presence,
Of compassion.
And seeing what may come of that.
What wisdom you may encounter through that process.
That moves us towards being connected to one another.
And now I invite you ever so gently to begin to invite movement back into your body.
To slowly open your eyes.
Perhaps with a slightly new perspective on how to move through this world that can feel like so much.
And with that,
I look forward to seeing you next time on The Morning Transition.
