You're good at building things.
Goals,
Plans,
Results.
You know how to make something out of nothing.
But here's what most men skip.
They build before they're grounded.
They move fast,
Stay busy,
Keep producing.
From a place that's reactive,
Not stable.
And everything they build carries that instability with it.
Today,
Before anything else,
We build the ground first.
Ground.
Let's come into the body.
Feet flat on the floor,
Feel the contact,
Your feet,
The ground beneath them.
Let your weight drop fully,
Like you're not holding yourself up anymore.
Slow breathing through the nose,
Let it drop all the way into your belly.
And out.
Long and complete.
One more.
In.
And out.
Long and complete.
Feel how the ground is already beneath you.
It was there before you started doing anything.
Is still there now.
Think about how you usually feel when you're deep in building something.
There's often a tension underneath it,
A low hum of pressure that doesn't switch off.
Driven,
But also slightly chased.
Like you have to keep going or something will fall apart.
Where do you feel that pressure in your body right now?
Just notice it,
Don't fix it yet.
That feeling,
That forward lean,
That push.
Isn't ambition,
It's instability looking for somewhere to put itself.
A man who builds from pressure,
Builds fast but not necessarily well.
He makes decisions from anxiety instead of clarity.
He moves from what he's running away from,
Not what he's moving towards.
A man who builds from ground moves differently.
He's still driven,
Still capable of urgency when it's needed.
But underneath the action,
There's something solid.
What would you do differently,
Today,
In your work,
In your relationships,
If you were building from a genuinely stable place?
Take your time with that.
And right now,
Are you building from ground or from something that needs the building to feel okay?
Here's what I want you to hold on to.
Grounding isn't the opposite of action,
It's the foundation of it.
The most solid men you've ever known.
They're not passive.
They move.
They build.
They make decisions.
But they do it from somewhere stable inside themselves.
That's not something you find by doing more.
It's something you find by stopping first.
Even five minutes like this,
Every day,
Changes everything you build after it.
One final breath in.
And out all the way.
Feel the ground beneath you.
It hasn't moved.
Carry this into whatever you're building today.
Not the urgency,
The stability.
Take your time coming back.
Good work.
Take a few moments after this practice to notice what shifted,
What still feels present and what you may want to continue exploring in your own time.
It's in this seminal spaces where you need to act before the regular heartbeat of your life continues.
Please feel no pressure to reach out but I can tell you,
I'd be honoured to witness your being and becoming.
