Much of your emotional energy is spent translating yourself,
Explaining what you feel,
Justifying why you need what you need.
This explaining often happens silently,
Internally,
Before anyone asks.
Over time,
It becomes a habit,
A reflex,
A form of pressure.
This practice is an invitation to step out of that reflex.
Not by withdrawing,
Not by becoming distant,
But by no longer negotiating your right to exist as you are.
Notice where explanation appears,
Where you prepare to defend your choices,
Where you soften yourself to be more acceptable.
You don't need to correct this tendency,
You don't need to remove it.
Just notice how much energy it carries.
When explanation is no longer required,
Space opens,
Energy returns,
The system settles.
This freedom doesn't arrive loudly,
It doesn't demand confidence,
It doesn't need declaration.
It lives quietly,
In moments of non-justification.
Some days this will feel expansive,
Other days,
Subtle and understated.
Both are expressions of freedom.
The goal is not detachment,
The goal is integrity.
Living without constantly explaining who you are or why you feel the way you do,
With time this freedom becomes familiar and your inner life feels less negotiated as you continue through your day.
Remember this,
You don't owe an explanation for your internal experience,
And releasing that expectation is a form of rest.
