You can rest from evaluating yourself,
From checking how you are doing,
From monitoring your mood,
From quietly asking if you are okay enough.
Many of us live under constant internal observation,
Watching ourselves think,
Watching ourselves feel,
Watching ourselves respond.
This kind of attention can feel responsible,
Like staying aware,
Like taking care,
Like preventing something from going wrong.
But it can also be tiring.
Notice if there is a part of you,
Right now,
That is subtly assessing this moment,
Asking is this helping,
Am I doing this right,
Should something be changing by now.
See if that observer can soften its grip,
Not disappear,
Not be silenced,
Just step back a little.
You do not need to track this experience for it to be valid.
Nothing needs to be noted,
Nothing needs to be labeled,
Nothing needs to be improved.
You are allowed to exist without a score,
Without a diagnosis,
Without a conclusion,
Without a takeaway.
Notice how the body responds when it is not being watched.
Often,
There is a subtle easing,
Not because anything changed,
But because pressure lifted.
Self-evaluation is not required for presence.
You can be here without checking yourself.
For these moments,
You are allowed to rest from watching who you are.
