Take this time as a gentle pause,
An opportunity to release tension,
Arrive fully in the present moment and reconnect with what is real right now.
Settle into a position that feels comfortable and supportive for your body.
When you're ready,
Softly close your eyes,
Bring your awareness inward,
Notice your body,
How it feels,
How it rests in the space around you,
Sense the points of contact where you are supported,
Now take a slow,
Deep breath in and acknowledge yourself for choosing this moment of stillness in the midst of your day and as you breathe out,
Allow any built-up tension or mental noise to begin to soften and release whatever emotions are present for you right now.
Welcome them without resistance,
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to change,
Just observe,
Gently scan your body and notice where these feelings live,
Is there an area holding tightness,
Heaviness or discomfort,
Breathe into that space,
Sending your breath there with care and awareness and as you exhale,
Imagine that tension loosening,
Dissolving,
Drifting away.
With each breath in and each breath out,
In,
Let yourself settle deeper,
Return your attention to your breath,
Natural and steady,
Feel the subtle rise and fall of your chest,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Now once again,
Bring awareness back to your body as a whole,
Notice yourself here,
In this moment,
Grounded and present,
If it feels good,
Gently move,
Perhaps your fingers,
Your shoulders or your neck,
Inviting ease back into your body and when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of calm and presence with you into the rest of your day.
