Lucy is a yoga teacher twice over. Sivananda 200hr course accredited by Yoga Alliance and with the British Wheel of Yoga 500hr course, accredited by Ofqual. There are all sorts of people in the world and therefore all sorts of yoga teachers are needed. In our busy world it is easy to forget about the vitalness of joy and necessity of calm. When we take time to practice meditation or savasana, emotions and thoughts begin to loosen and those anxieties and annoyances we have been stockpiling have a chance to unfurl and drift away. The practice of Savasana creates a calm, steady place for us to just be, to remember ‘it can be like this’. And because it all feels calm and steady and safe, our heart relaxes and opens. Like a Cosmic factory-reset, for a moment, our hearts return to its true nature, it’s original peaceful state. As the Bank of England prints money, these moments of practicing peace creates the currency of love and compassion, readying us for the business of being human. This currency can be used on ourselves and we can share this with others. We can afford to be generous because we know what peace feels like. We know the more we practice moments of peace, the more credit we generate in the heart-space. The practice of tuning into the heart-space isn’t to ‘buy’ our happiness. It is to create a clear space so we can see the wood for the trees, to see what is important and what isn't, to see the permanent from the impermanent.
