Hi there and welcome to this gentle,
Calm space.
A space where i'm gonna invite you take time for yourself.
You close the door on worries.
Anything.
That you're struggling with at the moment.
And to come in to yourself.
Putting yourself first.
And gifting yourself this time.
So let's start out by settling ourselves in whatever is the most comfortable position for you just now.
So you may find it helpful to lie yourself down.
If you have space to do so.
Relaxing the body,
Settling in.
Softening,
Even if it's just a little.
Or if you prefer to be seated.
Taking as much effort out of your posture as you can.
So it might be back support.
Wriggling around to settle your set bones.
Gently resting your feet on the floor.
Or anything else.
That makes you feel a little bit more relaxed.
A little more supported.
And a little more able to let go.
Allowing your eyes to drift closed if that's comfortable for you.
Or keeping them open if you prefer.
And allowing your gaze to softly rest on something ahead of you.
Softening your eyes,
Your forehead.
Your jaw,
Your neck.
Your shoulders.
Continuing down the body.
Your chest your ribs,
Your belly.
Your hips.
Softening even just a little down your legs all the way to your feet.
Allowing just a little softness.
Just what feels possible for you in this moment.
And if that does feel really challenging for you.
Let's just notice.
Where you feel tension,
Discomfort.
Without judging.
We're not trying to fix.
But just notice it.
It's okay to notice.
I'm just checking in.
What's going on in my body just now?
What's showing up?
But stay curious.
And as you allow yourself a little space here You may even find that the body does start to soften.
Even just a little.
But if you still feel discomfort.
That's okay.
Anything that shows up here is okay.
Anything that shows up is valid.
You're not doing this wrong.
If you don't feel super comfortable right now.
So allowing yourself longer if you need to here.
There's no rush,
There's no expectations.
You don't need to achieve here.
This isn't a performance.
Or a competition.
By just meeting ourselves where we are.
In this moment.
So if it's helpful you could gently allow a hand to rest onto your belly.
And you could take your other hand.
And place it gently over your heart.
If that feels uncomfortable or too effortful.
You can let them drop.
And if it feels weird.
You could try your hands the other way round.
Sometimes it matters.
So allowing those hands if comfortable.
To rest.
We don't need a lot of pressure.
It might just be very very gentle contact.
Or you may want that contact to be a little firmer.
It's your choice.
So we're signalling safety here.
This is us showing the body.
It's okay.
It's okay to let go.
It's okay to be.
It's okay to stop.
It's okay.
To put you first.
It's okay to take this time.
By placing the hand on the belly we're creating this connection with ourselves.
We're also helping.
To guide that deeper breath.
By giving ourselves that little bit of feedback.
By giving ourselves that hand to breathe into.
Where we can feel the movement.
I can feel the movement of the belly.
It's caused by.
.
.
The lungs expanding.
And the diaphragm moving down.
And you may be feeling this already.
A gentle movement of the belly.
Rising and falling.
Moving in at night.
And if you're not noticing yet.
That's okay too.
So we can gently start to guide that breath.
Only as much as is comfortable.
So we could start with 1%.
And if 1% feels comfortable.
Maybe we could do another 1%.
But if we're met with tightness and tension.
Or discomfort of any sort.
That's a sign.
Just take a pause.
Maybe back off a little.
Certainly not increase.
So listening to the body,
What feels good here?
Then you may find that the breath does deepen.
As we even ourselves in.
Things soften.
Expand and deepen.
Helping start to feel a little freer.
A little easier.
But we're being guided by our own body.
What feels right?
What feels good?
What feels possible.
Remember,
This isn't a challenge.
Not a competition.
And exercise in listening,
Feeling,
Connecting.
Gently easing in here.
And if you'd like to.
We could expand this into a visualisation.
So as we breathe in.
You can imagine that air.
Maybe you could imagine all the little oxygens.
He might see them as light.
And as we breathe in that light.
We can see it travelling.
And through our nose.
Down,
Down,
Down into our lungs.
Down towards the belly.
And as the belly starts to expand.
It starts to fill with light.
He might feel this as warmth.
Softness.
You might experience it in some other way.
As we breathe in this light.
With a half-breath.
We start to breathe in.
A little more.
And in our belly,
In our lungs.
It starts to build up.
So with each breath that we breathe.
Keep it breathing in more.
And more of this light.
Light,
Warmth.
Softness.
Healing energy.
However you experience this.
And as we continue to do this we start to glow.
Starting in the lungs.
In the belly.
And then another breath.
Continues.
It's light.
Starts to travel throughout the body.
Through from the lungs.
Moving into our cells.
Our tissues.
Our organs.
Travelling throughout our body.
And as it travels through the body.
Moving to all those places that need it.
You might feel that warmth.
That softness.
Maybe you're imagining that glowing,
That light.
Our body starting to glow.
And soften.
As we start to feel.
A little safer.
A little softer.
Maybe we can imagine ourselves.
Can you see yourself glowing?
Can you feel yourself softening?
Maybe you can hear.
A sign.
Alongside this.
Maybe there's something else you experience.
With every breath.
As we soften.
As this glow,
This light travels throughout the body.
Breath by breath.
Spreading throughout.
Every breath we breathe here.
We're adding to this.
For each breath.
Maybe only one breath.
But every breath counts.
Every breath matters.
Each breath.
Add some.
And as we continue to breathe.
We continue to feed ourselves.
This light.
This energy,
This softness.
With oxygen.
Feeding ourselves what we need.
Staying with this image,
This experience.
This place.
Where you're feeding yourself.
Way you matter.
Why you are important.
Where you come first.
Continuing to breathe.
Maybe your body does feel softer now.
But we're not trying to force anything here.
By trying to be in this experience.
Coming back to it any time that you feel distracted,
If your mind wanders.
Coming back to those little oxygens.
As little specks of light.
Travelling throughout your body.
Taking what you need.
To the places that need it.
And if you feel they're somewhere in your body.
That needs a little extra.
Maybe it's somewhere that feels a little discomfort.
Somewhere that needs a little bit extra love.
We could direct these little lights.
To that place.
So sending a little bit more.
To the places that need it the most.
Softness.
More.
Energy.
Oxygen.
You are in control here.
You send it where you need it.
Feeling this light.
Softness Let's take a few more breaths here.
Distributing a little more light.
Create her body.
And if you want to.
You can stay here for longer.
And if you're ready.
You might wanna have a little wriggle.
Maybe wrinkling your fingers,
Your toes.
Maybe loosening your neck,
Rolling your shoulders if that feels good.
Any little movements that feel right to you.
Or if you want to stay exactly where you are.
And there's no need to move anywhere.
So taking as much time as you need to to gently come back into your space.
Opening your eyes really softly if you've had them closed.
Phone me when you're ready.
So thank you so much for breathing with me today.
Remember you can come back to this anytime you need it.
So take care.
And I'll see you soon.
