Beauty And Connection Is In Your Eye, Rest Here (Feb 17, 26)
by Larissa Link
When we can witness that we often see through layers of comparison and judgment, we can slowly start to let go of those layers. Have you ever compared an oak leaf to a maple and decided one is better than the other? Usually, we simple see the beauty in a leaf. We'll practice here witnessing any layers in the way of seeing the whole world through this frame of "beauty in all." Even a decaying leaf becomes compost for new life. "The beauty you see in anything is a reflection of the beauty in you." This Arabic phrase is a reminder that your literal eye takes everything you see and creates an image reflected within you, and you create space for that beauty to be held within you. Your brilliant mind takes this information in and reflects that beauty back to the world by your way of seeing, taking action, and engaging with the world. Take time to let your own eyes reflect back to you your tender and generous nature, your open-hearted nature. See your own naturally radiant heart.
