Take a deep breath.
Notice how your body softens when you exhale.
You might close your eyes for just a moment here.
And just notice your breath moving through you.
Your breath is naturally abundant.
Naturally giving.
You're also naturally really good at receiving.
Notice how your body just takes in this breath,
Receiving.
And how easeful it is just to give back.
Your breath is the perfect reminder that you don't have to try hard to let go of something.
Just watch how your body softens.
We also sometimes have a difficult time receiving the support that we need in our lives.
Many of us being taught that we should be able to handle things on our own.
We are communal creatures.
Our breath reminds us of this.
We receive every single time we inhale.
Let's take this moment of remembrance,
I know how to receive fully.
And I am generous and abundant.
And I easily give.
Take a big,
Deep,
Full breath in again.
Soften your shoulders as you exhale.
This next breath in,
Say to yourself,
I receive.
As you exhale,
Say to yourself,
I am giving.
Give yourself one more big,
Deep breath in,
Remembering the practice of receiving.
As you exhale,
Soften some part of your body,
Remembering how easy it is to give.
Moment to place your hands in a symbol of gratitude,
Palms together,
Perhaps hands over your heart,
Just a moment to thank yourself.
One loving kindness phrase to finish.
Repeat this phrase back to yourself.
May I remember the innate goodness of my breath.
Whenever you feel complete.
Find a little movement.
As always,
Thank you for being here,
Being a part of our sangha.
