Good morning,
And what a beautiful thing you've just done.
Choosing to begin your day with yourself,
With intention,
With presence.
Before the to-do lists,
Before the emails,
Before the noise of the world begins,
This time is yours,
A sacred few minutes to come home to yourself and decide who you want to be today.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Spine gently tall,
Shoulders relaxed,
Hands resting softly in your lap or on your knees,
Allow your eyes to close and take one big,
Generous breath in through your nose,
Filling up completely and let it all out through your mouth with a gentle sigh.
That sigh is you releasing yesterday,
Everything that happened,
Everything that didn't,
Everything you carried,
It stays there.
Today is a fresh page and it begins right now.
Let's wake the body up with some intentional breath.
This breath work will energize you,
Clear your mind and bring you fully into the present moment.
We will begin three deep clearing breaths,
Breath in through your nose as deeply as you can,
Filling from the belly up through the chest,
All the way to the top of your lungs and out through your mouth,
Fully,
Completely,
Every last drop of air.
Again,
A full,
Deep breath in,
Expanding the belly first,
Then the chest,
Then the upper lungs,
Hold for just a moment and release,
Let it go completely.
One more,
The biggest breath yet,
Filling every corner of your lungs with fresh morning air and out,
A complete release,
Now let's settle into a rhythm,
We'll breath in for 4 counts,
Hold for 4 and out for 6,
This pattern activates your focus and your calm at the same time,
Let's go,
In 2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4 and out 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
In 2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4 and out 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Again,
In 2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4 and out 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
And one more time,
In for 2,
3,
4,
Hold 2,
3,
4 and out 2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
Beautiful.
And one final round in your own pace now,
A full breath in,
Notice how you feel,
A little brighter,
A little more awake,
A little more here.
That is your body saying good morning.
Now we move into gratitude,
Because how we begin shapes how we experience everything that follows,
And when we begin with a grateful heart,
The whole bay feels different.
So let me ask you something gently,
Bring your awareness to your heart center,
The middle of your chest,
Place a hand there if you like.
What is one thing about your life right now that you genuinely love?
It might be something enormous,
Or something beautifully small,
A person,
Place,
A feeling,
A moment,
Let it rise up naturally,
Let yourself feel grateful for it,
Really feel it,
Notice where that gratitude lives in your body,
Let it warm you from the inside.
Now what is one thing about yourself that you appreciate today,
Strength,
Quality,
Something you've overcome,
Something you're growing into?
You are allowed to be proud of yourself,
Let it in.
Hold that appreciation,
You are a remarkable woman,
You show up,
You try,
You care,
And that matters more than you know.
And one more,
What is one thing you are looking forward to today?
It can be as simple as a cup of coffee,
A phone call,
Finishing something that matters to you,
Find it,
Let it light up just a little.
Three things,
Three reasons to step into this day with your heart open,
Carry them with you.
Now I'm going to offer you some affirmations for your day.
You can receive them as gifts,
Simply let them land,
Or you can repeat them silently in your mind as I say them.
Either way,
Let them in.
I begin this day with intention and with love.
I am calm,
Clear and capable of handling whatever comes my way.
I trust myself,
I trust my instincts,
I trust the path I am on.
I deserve good things.
I am worthy of joy,
Success and deep fulfillment.
I bring something unique and valuable to everything I do.
I choose to meet this day with grace,
Curiosity and open heart.
I am becoming more of who I truly am with every single day.
Today I am enough,
I do enough,
I have enough.
Let those words settle into your bones,
Into your cells,
Into the quiet place in you that knows they are true.
Now it's time to set your intention for today.
Not a task,
Not a goal,
An intention,
A way of being,
A quality you want to bring with you into everything you do.
Take a breath in,
And as you breathe out,
Ask yourself quietly,
How do I want to feel today?
What do I want to bring to the people I meet,
The work I do,
The moments I inhabit?
Let the word of feeling arise,
It may be peace,
Courage,
Joy,
Presence,
Creativity,
Strength,
Trust,
Whatever comes.
That is your intention,
Your compass for the day.
Take a gentle breath in,
And silently say your intention to yourself,
Whole bit in your heart,
Like a small bright flame.
This is your day,
Shaped by you,
Guided by you,
And whatever happens out there,
You now have an anchor to return to,
One breath,
One word,
And you will find your way back to yourself.
Take one final breath together,
Taking in all the goodness of this morning,
The clarity,
The gratitude,
The intention.
And breathing out anything that no longer serves you,
Completely and fully.
Begin to bring gentle movement into your body,
Roll your shoulders,
Soften your neck,
Wiggle your fingers,
Place both feet flat on the floor if you're seated.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and greet this day as the woman you just choose to be.
You're ready.
You are resourced.
You are enough.
Now go and make this day.
Good morning,
And what a beautiful day it's going to be.
