So I want you to find a comfortable spot.
You can either lay in your bed or on the couch or maybe in a chair,
But I want you to feel super comfortable.
So just take a little bit of time to maybe snuggle up,
Get a blanket on,
Whatever you need to do.
And as you begin to settle in,
I want you to notice,
First of all,
Your breath.
Notice where it is in your body.
Are you breathing into your chest or are you breathing down into the belly?
Can you feel the breath in the back?
Can you feel the breath in the side rims?
So just allow your eyes to close if they're not already closed.
Start to notice your breath and just relax the belly.
Just let the breath be free and deep.
Slow it down.
And now I'd like for you to notice the support wherever you have landed.
Notice what's supporting you,
Maybe in your chair,
On your bed.
Feel the sensation of the fabric,
The sense of being grounded and safe and supported.
And then we're just going to start at the top of our head and just do a progressive relaxation.
So just allow the head to be heavy wherever it landed.
Maybe imagine the crown of your head,
A beautiful beam of light,
Whatever color that comes to mind first,
Whatever,
Maybe it's your favorite color,
Maybe it's a beautiful white light.
And center it at the very crown of your head.
And as you begin to feel that breath soften even more,
Just imagine that light,
That beautiful bright light is just beginning to spread down over the top of the head,
Over the forehead,
Down into the eyes.
Just allow the eyes to relax in their sockets,
Allow the cheeks to soften as that light spreads down,
Almost like a warmth coming down to your body.
Jaw relaxes,
Feel that warmth of that light coming down over the neck.
And as it spreads down over your shoulders,
Just feel your shoulders just sink a little deeper down into your support.
Feel that beautiful light spreading down over your chest,
The upper back,
Down over your belly.
That warmth of that light spreads down into the low belly,
Feel it in the pit of your stomach,
Over your hips.
Any sense of tightness or constriction is just floating away as soon as this light,
This beautiful warmth spreads down over your body,
Your arms are heavy and relaxed,
Feel your legs getting even heavier,
Your thighs releasing any tension as that light spreads down all the way down the legs,
Into the tips of the toes,
As if your whole body is totally enveloped in this beautiful light.
And then notice any sense of discomfort,
We're not going to call it pain because then we're putting a label on it,
It's just a sensation,
Our brain interprets it the way that we want it to interpret it.
So notice any sensations of discomfort,
Maybe that's in the low back area or maybe that's deep in the belly,
Wherever it is.
Just be an observer,
Just be curious about it.
And then send your breath there and imagine that that light is a healing light.
And as you take your awareness to that sensation,
Imagine that that light is just calming it,
Sending peace,
Sending a calming energy.
And that sensation gets smaller and just breathe into that.
Sending healing thoughts and that beautiful light of healing energy to anywhere you notice a sense of discomfort.
And turn that discomfort maybe into just a sense of heat or a sense of heaviness,
Because we have the ability to change how we interpret things in our body.
Our brain is very powerful that way.
So I want you to continue to breathe.
Be fully present to all sensations in your body and to send that healing light wherever it needs to go.
Just allow it.
