
Healing Birth Trauma Meditation

Each of us within us has the power to heal the emotional wounds of our past experiences. Childbirth is one of the most incredibly powerful events to happen in a woman’s life. It transforms a woman’s life. You may be ready to face the wounds you are carrying from a previous birth experience. It is time for you to gently begin to heal yourself.

Hello,
It's Kimberly and this guided meditation is for all the strong mamas out there who are looking to heal any trauma from your birth.
And I believe that with each of us within us has the power to heal emotional wounds of our past experiences and childbirth is one of the most incredibly powerful events to happen in a woman's life.
It transforms a woman's life and you may be ready to face the wounds that you're carrying from a previous birth experience and that's why you are here now listening to this meditation.
It is time for you to gently begin to heal yourself and everyone's experience of birth is different.
Even mothers who have birthed many children and would record different experiences on the spectrum for each one of her births.
Women are incredible,
Strong and when supported during childbirth they can experience a strength that they never knew that they had.
But sometimes women don't even realize that they've been holding on to a trauma until months or even years after giving birth as motherhood is all-consuming.
But it is important to heal,
To allow space for emotions to be gently released and healed.
There is no right or wrong way to give birth.
Babies all over the world are born differently.
Some gently into the water,
Some in hospitals,
Some at home.
Babies are born on operating tables and babies come into this world in very different circumstances.
And mothers are all incredible.
As we make space for children in our wombs,
We experience all the joys,
The highs,
The lows,
The pain,
The anxiety,
The joy,
The ecstasy and then we become mothers.
And with this there's this whole new world to navigate.
And sometimes there isn't time to fully process the transition that took place from being fully pregnant.
And this now is a space for you to honor your feelings.
And so if you haven't already,
I invite you now to close your eyes and take in three deep breaths.
So I wonder if you can imagine yourself in a beautiful place in nature,
A beautiful beach with clear turquoise waters and gentle waves splashing onto pure white sand.
There are trees that go behind the beach and a little path which leads deeper into a green leafy tropical forest.
And so as you settle deeper wherever you have come to lie or to sit or to rest for this meditation,
In your mind space,
Follow the winding path in front of you,
Being peaceful and soothed by the gentle sound of the waves.
And you can hear the sounds of the forest and in the distance a gentle fresh water stream.
And you walk confidently following the winding path in the forest and in the distance you can just about see a kind-looking woman.
And as you travel further on your path you feel as if she has been waiting for you to arrive.
She has long beautiful hair and a kind smiling face.
She is so pleased that you have come.
And as you get closer to her she welcomes you by gently taking your hand and leading you into a clearing in this forest.
There's a peaceful happy feeling in this place and there are other women here all of whom are healing wise women.
They are kind and gentle almost angelic and you can sense that they are connected to the divine.
There are mothers,
Some are grandmothers,
And they all welcome you in silence with their loving smiles and warm embraces which fill you up with gentle,
Nurturing,
Loving energy and you feel so welcome even though you have never been in this space it feels as if you are arriving home.
You feel so safe,
So protected in the company of these special beings.
And the women all take their place in a circle on large comfortable cushions and you're invited to join them.
And there is soft gentle music playing in the background and you notice in the middle of the circle are candles,
Flowers,
Sacred stones,
And crystals.
And you intuitively know that you are in a very special healing space.
You are in a loving circle of healing wise women and you feel more safe and protected than ever before.
And you know that you are in this circle to begin healing yourself and you're invited to share your birth story in this space.
The story of when you gave birth and you know that you can speak freely.
You can tell as much or as little of your story as you wish.
You are completely in charge of the process.
You can tell these women anything that you want and there will be no judgment,
Only love,
Acceptance,
And healing.
They will hold you in this circle while you bear your soul.
You don't have to talk out loud of course.
You can communicate with them through your thoughts alone and they listen with the highest interest and the deepest empathy and respect.
Nodding wisely as you talk,
Allowing you the space to share.
If you need to express your anger,
Your disappointments,
Your pain,
Your grief,
Your joy,
This is a safe circle and you will be held with love and nurturing no matter what you need to say or how you express it.
These wise women are here only for you and to listen compassionately to whatever you have to say.
And if you're ever finding it difficult,
The woman next to you will hold your hand and support you.
But this is a safe space to let it all out and if the tears fall,
Let them fall.
There is nothing that you can do or say that these women cannot witness.
They hold you in their circle with their loving intentions.
And when you are finished telling your story,
Take a nice big breath and exhale.
The woman sitting next to you lays a hand on your back gently and sends through you healing energy that feels like the most powerful healing that you have ever felt.
Feel the warmth and the love that is surrounding you.
And one by one,
The women in the circle come towards you and thank you for sharing your story with them.
You have been witnessed,
You have been heard and fully understood.
And they each have gifts for you and in turn they present you with flowers,
Sacred stones,
Kind words,
Beautiful healings and many blessings.
And you receive them all as you truly deserve them all.
And as everyone takes their place in the circle once again,
There in front of you are three pieces of ancient writing paper and an exquisite pen.
And one of the women announces that it's time for you to write down on the paper three words or pictures of things that you are ready to let go of.
And this can be anything that you feel are appropriate for you.
Maybe you will write down emotions or names or aspects of your birth experience that you're ready to release from your body or your mind that you are ready to let go of today.
It could be anything.
There is no right or wrong.
And as you write,
One of the women lights a candle and brings it over for you.
So take your time to write on these three pieces of paper.
And when you have your papers with the words or drawings that you're ready to release,
She invites you to hold them to the candle flame and one by one they catch light.
And the women silently watch as the papers burn and drop to the earth below as ash.
Symbolically you are letting go of what no longer serves you at this time.
Notice how it feels to be supported in their circle.
Notice the respect,
The honoring,
The kindness that you read shown from these wise women.
There is no judgment or criticism.
Only kindness and acceptance.
These women created by your powerful subconscious mind are a part of you.
A powerful part of you that knows how to heal.
That knows exactly what you need to thrive and to be happy.
And you can take this feeling of them with you when you come back to full waking consciousness.
Because it is soon time to leave this healing space.
But know that you can return here again and again whenever you need.
These women in this beautiful space are here for you whenever you need.
And you've done a lot of emotional clearing here in this meditation.
And it's so important that you are gentle with yourself when you are awake.
Drinking lots of water and allowing yourself to rest as much as possible for the remainder of the day.
And if it's appropriate to fall asleep right now in this moment,
Just allow yourself to drift off into a beautiful relaxing sleep.
